Hey guys im about to buy this LED for my closet need advice

STOP! DO NOT BUY THAT LIGHT!

The claims are outrageous and impossible.

1) 125 watts = 1000 watt HID comparison... Absolutely not. 125 watts of crap LED = less than 125 watts of HID.
2) 12 plants? Yes 12 plants in solo cups.
3) It doesn't even say what watt the diodes are... 3w would be considered crap.. 5w would be normal for two years ago. Now everything is COB.

There is no such thing as bargain when it comes to LED. Good LED is EXPENSIVE. Crap LED is crap and grows crap weed and it still costs 3 times more than HID,, NOBODY is using those types of lights anymore.

Six 23 watt CFL's per plant or 1 4ft 8 bulb t5 HO would work much better and cost only a fraction.

If you want real LED then check out area 51. You will need 1 per plant. Notice Area 51 is sold out right now. It's because they have the best product. http://www.a51led.net/product/area-51-led-w90-3000k-pre-order

Do yourself a huge favor and just get a 400w or 600w ipower HID from amazon for $120. You will grow awesome bud with that. There is no substitution for HID unless you pay a lot of money from a top manufacturer or build yourself.

Hey sunny, thank you very much, HIDS grow good quality? how are the yields still good? you think a 600watt ipower hid would be too much for my closet grow? and i know LEDS dont require much to keep them cool like hps or cfl. How about HIDS do i need to attach duct work to keep it cool?

It's a myth that LED's dont create a lot of heat. The bulbs are cool to the touch, but there is still a lot of heat due to the drivers. The light we are speaking of probably creates a ton of heat since it's likely very inefficient.

Yes, there is no substitute for High Pressure Sodium when it comes to proven methods and low price. It's still the standard for many growers. Yes they create a lot of heat that needs to be vented somewhere.

Depends on how large the closet is, but yea, all grow setups need ventilation. a 400 fills a 3x3 grow space and a 600 fills a 4x4 space.
They are switchable though so you can dial down the wattage.

You need a vortex fan and filter to control smell anyways. Just get a decent fan and filter and vent the air out a window or into an attic.

Believe me when I say you will still need major ventilation with most LED.

Do you have roommates?
Recreational or medical use?
How large is the closet? Where in your home is closet located?
Do you have nosy neighbors or landlord that drops by?
Have you grown before?

My goals are to successfully harvest about 2-3 plants to start. This will be my first time growing indoors, i want to do it right and keep the price somewhat in a budget around 700-850. Including the grow tent and lights. Basically everything i need to just start up. This is for my personal self. Yeah im in legal state, no roomates, The closet is about 2 1/2 feet wide by 4 feet long, and 6 feet high. I have autoflower strains so im not worries about them getting too tall. You mind helping me put together a set up? like send me links to a grow tent that size and some links for good starter kits etc etc? :)

Don't go hps so many problems coming I spent years lesson with HP's heat issues and other issues.
Swaped to a good led and problems gone
Yes they run heat still but its a lot easyer to get that heat off your plants

Thanks for the advice, i dont really know much about LEDS so the number " 5 3590's" im alittle confused. Can you send me a link to where i can buy the led. Is this a DIY custom light or is this a premade ficture i can buy online.

3590 is an led chip cxb3590 ($40)
And drivers to run them depends how u want to but u find few in my topic
There ($45-70) u need 1-2 for 6 chips.
PC copper heatsink eBay $7 per chip and simple frame like above pic

Trust me it is easy. Just seems confusing cause numbers allover u get used to them

400 watts is going to give you similar or better yields over the 600 HPS if you're driving CXB3590s at 1.4 amps. You could do a 200w 4 cob strip lamp for under $400. 6 of those and you would replace all the HPS.(1800watt quote in my thred)

400$ you could have the hlg-240-1400b with 5 cxb3590 3500ºk 36V CD on it...or stay with the now famous configuration hlg-185-1400b with 4 cxb! 250 or 200w

Basicly with 3590 u get around .9-1.9 grams per watt skill dependant most average 1.5
HP's u get like 0.3-0.6 per watt....

If u make a 200w led 3590 chip. U gonna hit around 200g+ under that light
200w HP's u get 100ish and heat

California Lightworks recently stepped up to reputable diodes. But, they still charge too much for what they give you. For that money, you could get Area51, Tasty, Pacific, growgreenLED, Johnson, Amare.

Why are you considering LED? It's a treacherous market and you can easily waste money on Amazon/eBay lights, or support unsavory businesses like Name Ripoff Platinum.

Also don't rule out an Inda-Gro420. Perfect for that rectangular closet your dealing with.
I do things a bit different so would probably use the Inda-Gro or a pair of 250 Hortilux Blue Metal Halides.

Can you expand upon that? I would think a HID cool-tube would be the easiest, if that's your priority.

If you're trying to reduce heat and energy consumption, LEDs are the way to go. (But, not the eBay/Amazon lights.). But, you'll spend quite a bit for that. That's why I asked my question. Sometimes people want LED just to be "latest and greatest." But, there's nothing wrong with the traditional lights (unless there's something specifically wrong for your circumstance, such as heat or energy cost.).

If price is an issue for DIY you can also use Vero29 or even 18. I'm in the process of assembling a (roughly) 180w 6 cob(chip) Vero 18 fixture using 2 4000k and 4 3000k. The vero 18 run at 1.05a are just under 31w each and on digi-key they cost just over $10 each, the vero 29s are just under 25 each and can be run at roughly 50w each at 1.4a. They won't be as efficient as the cxb3590 but they will do the job and get you at least 1g/w.

The GrowAce and LightExports are just the typical epi-whatever (the eBay/Amazon lights you should avoid).

The others may be ok. But, you can do a lot better for the money those cost. I would stick with what's recommended here. Area-51, Pacific, Tasty, Amare, Johnson, GrowGreenLED.

It's a predatory, treacherous market. It's very easy to make a mistake.
