Hi RiU!
I'm starting DWC hopefully today, and in preperation I was reading about the optimum pH levels for hydorponic growing. Apparently the general consensus is that the best range would be from 5.5-6.5, although now many growers have different opinions on the range (and as with everything some claim their methods are correct whilst others are not.)
When looking at a nutrient chart the best would be to keep the pH somewhat stable (although this is really hard to accomplish) at 5.8. Although when the plant uptakes nutrients then naturally the pH will drift higher and higher.
So my question arises, what is your favourite pH range? Eg. some people claim that 5.8 is the best and will religiously keep their pH there. Others adjust their pH to 5.5 and then let it swing to 6.5, whilst some stop at 6.0 and revert. Some growers even keep their pH different for vegging and different for flowering.
How about it, what are our thoughts on pH ranges? I was thinking of starting at 5.5 and drifting to 5.9.
