I'm looking forward to getting a grow tent very soon for my babies. I've been slowly upgrading over time (Craigslist is the poor man's hero... if you're patient enough, live in a pretty populated area, you can have an HPS setup for like 100 dollars). It's always humorous when the seller is just straight up like what strains you got going? Bought an 8" cool tube for 30 bucks from some guy and he's just like "We should get some drinks sometime and I'll get you some free samples of my stuff". So now not only did I get some cheap af equipment, but I have a local hookup for clones. Craigslist everyone... craigslist.......
Anyways I am doing a bedroom grow and have limited space, right now they are just in the open (and doing pretty well aside from a bit of nute burn a couple weeks ago. I need a pH meter, it's like I get everything else, but slack on getting that. I think that's my problem with the nute burn is cuz indicator solution just isn't accurate enough. BUT, they are not looking too bad.

The light being on 18 hours a day in my bedroom can get a bit annoying though. I'm pretty sure my sleep schedule is now adjusted to my grow lights :hump:. So I'm looking into a grow tent, which, unfortunately can be a bit spendy.
If possible, it would be great to have something that I can just say is my closet to anyone who asks (I don't have a closet in my bedroom). I'll hide the ducting somehow. The tent has to be at least 40" wide to fit the entire cool tube setup I have right now!
Does anybody have recommendations for grow tents to buy that will fit in a bedroom, but still be big enough to keep cool and give me a fairly nice yield? (AND is at least 40" wide to fit my cool tube reflector and ducting)

If it helps or if anyone is interested, here are some pics of my current set-up. Any other advice on my set-up would be appreciated as well! Thanks in advanced - I love this site :weed:.

DSC02137.JPGCurrently, the only thing blocking light is batman. And he doesn't do a very good job.

DSC02142.JPG Underneath Batman - CANNABIS!, vaporizer humidifier (which I need to fill), 8" cool tube reflector, 400 W USHIO "super" full spectrum HPS bulb,130 CFM 6" fan attached directly to side of cool tube with bulb, 8 - 6 " adaptors + ducting on each side, then since my duct fan is so shitty I have the end of the ducting connected to an air filter I had (picture below) - that pulls the air through the ducting like 10 times better than the shitty duct fan I got, surprisingly, and was free!

Air filter sucking air through ducting - majority of airflow is from this.

6 to 8" adapter connected to the (shitty af) home depot duct fan (Shitty but I can connect it right next to the bulb, so I feel like it helps a lot)

400 W USHIO full spectrum HPS bulb in cool tube. The color is weird because of the white balance, it works fine.

I don't really know why I put a photo of this in here, but anyways, here's my humidifier. Um... It was 15 dollars. It works. Yeah.
DSC02145.JPG The babies. From left to right: Girl Scout Cookies, New York City Diesel, Misty (white widow x northern lights). The humidity is low bc I need to fill the humidifier. - I feel like the tent will be a lot easier to control humidity with as well.

Girl Scout Cookies Looking (and smelling) great. One month from seed.

Misty - My only non-feminized plant - no preflowers yet :(. Hoping I don't get another male like my first grow. Recently started low stress training so it is bent over. I am going to try and wrap it in a spiral around the pot for even cola placement.. The terminal bud is looking really ugly right now bc of a poor fimming job. I am trying to get it multi-branched, but it's being a stubborn lil bitch (I hope a bitch at least). 1 month from seed. I had three of these seeds... only 1 sprouted somehow in rapid rooter, a little frustrating.

DSC02160.JPG New York City Diesel. I just topped it so it's growing two new branches out. This plant was super easy as a seedling - then gets more tricky, it's a little blurry but you can see the nute burn on the finger of the leaf closest to the camera. 1 month from seed.

Other info:
-Growing in Coco Coir (100%)
-Plants are about 10-12 inches from light
-Using GH nutrient trio and cali magic for nutes

Remember the tent has to be 40" wide to fit my cool tube.
Any help, comments, or advice on my set up is greatly appreciated.

After extensive research I decided on this company and got my 5 by 5' tent for about 250 right out of the hydro store. It worked well. In hindsight I would have bought a slightly larger rectangular tent. Be prepared to use a roll of duct tape regardless of brand, reinforce the frame. Assuming you aren't just using a little bat wing. The tent worked well and send superior to others I've seen. But this is the only brand I've used.

They key to a tent is 600d fabric, metal corner connectors (no plastic unless 2x4 or smaller) and good zippers. I bought a 4x8 ($170, 4x4 $115 and a 2x4 $70 on ebay) all 600d fabric and work great. I've taken the 4x8 up and down at least 10 times, still holding up well. Brand is MTN (4x8 and 4x4). Good quality for the money, has not let me down.

This is what I run, affordable & good quality. German made
Do you have a link? I've found some 4 x 2 on ebay for around 70 bucks like blackforest mentioned. Not sure if it's got 600D fabric, I should check. Thanks for the info on that I didn't know about the fabric.

I went w the Gorilla 4x4 because it doesn't use cheap plastic corner connectors & the material is thicker & better quality than the 4 other brands that my hydroshop carries. This tent is about 99% light leak proof. In the pic below I have the zipper pulled down about 1/4 of the way & you can see how tight it is.
I'm using a LED light that's very very heavy & I didn't want to experience what a lot of other people have experienced with the cheaper tents that use plastic connectors & small diameter posts, & I could not be happier. It's a lil pricey but you get what you pay for!
