What's best, flush or no flush ?

If you ask questions be ready for opposing opinions, everyone has their own empirical evidence...I guess it's just something you'll have to learn the hard way...Get busy and test it yourself.
I will, what do u think the outcome of flushing would be ?

Because bob my mate says i'll get a better smoke and don't listen to no fool who tells you otherwise.

He's a big guy, I don't want to upset him by telling him "fuck you bob!! Im going no flush, fucking twat!!"

What shall I do ?

Why do some argue against what you say ?

Pls.
The problem is, to hold an argument requires functioning knowledge instead of stoner myths, therfore there IS NO argument. When you hear someone say "flushing makes the bud taste better because it doesn't have all that nutrients stuck behind" is pretty much telling you they
A. Do not know how to dry and cure properly
B. They overfed
C. They have never had a happy plant that was left unflushed at harvest time.

Both examples could have been taken care of by feeding what the plants want not what the bottle states. If done right the plants come out potent as hell and usually weigh more then its flushed sister. I've never understood the feed schedule on the bottle, temps, strain, pheno's,soil type, humidity, watering habbits will all change how much they want to eat.

I used to flush every single harvest years ago. I was banging my head on the wall once i figured out it was not needed lol.:wall::wall::wall::weed: you know when you've been doing something for so long, you get stubbornly attached to the same method. Especially cannabis! Your friend is not going to listen especially if he's been growing for some time.

I read somewhere the best flush is to wait until harvest day, cut her at soil level and drop her stem base in some clean RO water for a day. Depending on her size she will suck up damn near a Liter of water. Helps clear away the nasties so I told.

Yea, good points.
If you dont overfeed - you dont need a furious flush at the end to try to remove all the crap built up
over the last 3 months. But in my experience, a flush at least once during each cycle (veg & flower)
will keep em happier. This way, you can also check run-off ph and make adjustments if needed.
Main thing is, the nutrient schedules suggested are waay too much for any plant Ive ever seen.
You always need to watch your plants and what they tell you and not the nutrient co's schedule.

dang its been awhile since I've been on here. I'll iust repost this from another thread I chimed in on about flushing.

1. You cannot remove "artificial fertilizers" from the plant.

2. You can flush (leech) salts that are built up in the soil.

3. Wether you use synthetic or organic ferts, the plant doesn't give a shit. Organic ferts are slow release and arnt readily available. microbes break that down into an inorganic form which is usable for your plant. Synthetics are immediately available for use by your plant.

4. Wether you choose to flush or not, your dry and curing process is what affects the flavor of your product.

5. Idk why anyone would choose to starve your plant from nutes a couple of weeks before harvest. That is one of the most critical points in your plants life and you want to stop feeding it?

6. Last but not least, flushing will starve the root zone of oxygen, think about what happens when you overwater. No oxygen to the roots and your plant starts to die. The benefit from that is that you will actually begin the curing process while your plant is alive.

Read that and take from it what you can, or ignore it and keep doing what you believe is best for you

In all honesty though a proper dry and cure is the path to a smooth taste and clean burn. I have tried flushing and not flushing.

Hot damn another thread on flushing. Well, what is the verdict today?

Today I would say flush, unless you don't want to flush then you should most definitely not flush.

Using your friends advice as proof of anything is called 'bro science' and it will usually get you into trouble.
