Every time there is a mass shooting the people who want more gun restrictions come out of the woodwork and point to the violence and say we need more restrictions on guns. I see restrictions on guns as restrictions on the basic freedom of self defense.

Sayed would have passed a background check so background checks are not the answer.

Sayed bought handguns legally so anything less than restricting the sale of guns is not the answer.

We are being attacked by religious zealots who are bent on killing as many civilians as humanly possible before being killed themselves. Your suggestions of making guns harder to obtain are counterproductive to personal safety. Cops dont stop crime, they come along after it complete a crime report.

As I stated and provided a source for, gun violence in California has dropped 56% even accounting for population increase between 1993 when the stricter gun laws were enacted and 2015. So, guess what? Whether you like it or not, stricter gun laws lead to less gun violence.

You keep failing to come up with legislation that would have prevented this crime.

I am not trying to troll you. Here is a suggestion. When the circumstances point to guns being an issue in a situation then feel free to make it your crusade. When circumstances point to two terrorists with an arsenal of weapons including IED's then why not come together with legal gun owners to figure out what we need to do to prevent violence and terrorism, not prevent legal gun ownership.

Even more Muslims put out support for the US afterwards, for instance there were candle vigils in Iran; Khatami and Khameni condemned the attacks. Yusuf al-Qaradawi a very renown Muslim scholar called it a crime, the spiritual leader of Hamas condemned the attacks, even the Taliban condemned the attacks.
