Haha --- if the issue is homicide rate, who gives a shit what the implement of choice is? The US is not any where close to being in the top ten.

Why the hell do you guys continue to focus on the tools and implements, as opposed to focusing on the people with the motivation to do bad with those tools?
Nonetheless, out of the entire world we account for 80% of the gun related homicides. That's a ridiculous amount. Everybody knows that people will continue to kill people with whatever they can get their hands on, but it's a disingenuous argument to the figure.

So exactly what legislation could Cal have implemented to stave off the last incident?
Can you not read? I said that this event was somewhat of an outlier. However the point is to stop future events from happening. That's usually the point of this type of legislation.

I asked you a question and you have repeatedly avoided it.

Every time there is a mass shooting the people who want more gun restrictions come out of the woodwork and point to the violence and say we need more restrictions on guns. I see restrictions on guns as restrictions on the basic freedom of self defense.

Sayed would have passed a background check so background checks are not the answer.

Sayed bought handguns legally so anything less than restricting the sale of guns is not the answer.

We are being attacked by religious zealots who are bent on killing as many civilians as humanly possible before being killed themselves. Your suggestions of making guns harder to obtain are counterproductive to personal safety. Cops dont stop crime, they come along after it complete a crime report.

Nobody here trusts the cops but they dont want civilians to have guns. Very contradictory and confusing.

No, the point of this type of legislation is so you feel better. It wont stop crime, it will just prevent more legal sales of guns.

One woman saw the shit these terrorists were up to but was worried about being labelled a racist so she kept her mouth shut. Political correctness killed the people here... Thanks liberal intolerant left!!

No, that's just stupidity. Also to say the left is intolerant is stupidity as well. Usually conservatives are more intolerant, unless somehow hate groups have suddenly started to vote Democrat... oh wait.. they vote Republican.

It wan't an outlier, otherwise you wouldn't be concerned.

I asked you what that legislation would be? What is it that you envision?

I don't understand your logic. People are the problem. So what do you want to do to detect them?

This is the cause of many pro-gun people's anger. You just admitted that this event was an outlier but are still clamoring for the same kind of gun legislation that is repeated ad-nauseum every time there is a shooting. There are no common sense suggestions, just cookie cutter bans on large gun clips (which Sayed ignored), trigger guards (now that one is laughable here), and lists of banned weapons that look scary when other guns have exactly the same functionality.

It is a constant attempt to erode the gun rights of people who choose to follow the law while disregarding the fact that millions of people choose not to follow the law.

good job on parroting NRA logic.

"murder laws don't stop murders, so why do we even have them?"

i think you need to get bck to scrubbing shit off of pools in that apache junction cesspool you inhabit, and leave adult conversation to people who are not 50 year old racist alcoholics living in their mommy and daddy's house.

Except this stuff works. It's kind of laughable that you believe it doesn't. As I stated and provided a source for, gun violence in California has dropped 56% even accounting for population increase between 1993 when the stricter gun laws were enacted and 2015. So, guess what? Whether you like it or not, stricter gun laws lead to less gun violence.

It looks like this could very well be the largest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. Last week Obama told us he doesn't have any intelligence pointing to a terrorist plot on our home land. That must make him stupid because at the time he was saying it, Syeed and the wifey were building pipe bombs in the basement.

A study released Tuesday warns that support for ISIS in the United States has reached "unprecedented" levels, saying that social media has played a major role in the radicalization and mobilization of American sympathizers. Since March 2014, 71 people have faced ISIS-related charges, including 56 in 2015, the largest number of terrorism-related arrests since Sept. 11, 2001.

So when Clinton warned Bush about 9/11...? The FBI even said that they were investigating why he flipped. You know how many people are out there making pipe bombs in their basement? It doesn't make him stupid because for all intents and purposes there were little outward and noticeable signs that they would do this. The FBI said Farook's contact with people on a watch list were "soft contacts," meaning it wasn't worth watching. What do you suggest we do then?

Good job Obama Administration or was this Ted Cruz and the Republican party's doing? Or when something goes wrong it's solely Obama's fault but when they get things right he had nothing to do with it and it was the "hard work" of the government. Make up your mind and come off it. It's just silly.

Some reports suggest he was radicalized by his wife. How was she vetted and then given a K-1 visa? Just because I mentioned 9/11 for statistical reasons, that doesn't mean I am making this about George Bush. Clinton had his chance to get Bin Laden, but refused to pull the trigger. He claims to have been worried about civilian casualties to cover his ass, but what about 3,000 American casualties at the World Trade Center? I guess he never factored that in, did he? Trump did. Donald Trump not only warned people about Bin Laden, but specifically the World Trade Center as a target. What does he get in return? Reporters calling him a liar after it turns out he was right. Muslims were cheering in celebration when the tower fell down.

I didnt say anything otherwise. My point is that the 80 people in that party did not have a choice whether to defend themselves or not as they were gunned down.

You keep failing to come up with legislation that would have prevented this crime.

I am not trying to troll you. Here is a suggestion. When the circumstances point to guns being an issue in a situation then feel free to make it your crusade. When circumstances point to two terrorists with an arsenal of weapons including IED's then why not come together with legal gun owners to figure out what we need to do to prevent violence and terrorism, not prevent legal gun ownership.

The FBI said it was self-radicalization here in the United States. Even more Muslims put out support for the US afterwards, for instance there were candle vigils in Iran; Khatami and Khameni condemned the attacks. Yusuf al-Qaradawi a very renown Muslim scholar called it a crime, the spiritual leader of Hamas condemned the attacks, even the Taliban condemned the attacks.

Joke: Trump was behind 9/11 omg.
