I should of got a copyright or patent on my speaker box design. optic straight up copied everything from the black anodized knobs to the speaker grill and round cut outs, color scheme...
Think I still have copyright protection from posting it on my journal though? Cease and desist order? Nah...not going to that ugly place..
It was a good design...but for diy...not sale. Not up to my standard of what a product should be. For friends at about zero profit fine....

I wish them bad luck for being such flagrant copiers and aggressive and rude salesman.

I wish all the ones that came up with original designs the best of luck with their endeavors.

zangs was always a favorite of mine from the first time it was shown. Thats what I like to see...and why I didn't jump in with a bud box.

I do have a design I've got pretty well worked in a cad program. Its my dream light and what I personally want it to be. Even if just for my growroom and personal friends...friends of friends. There is a small demand where I am at.

Safe to say I won't post any pics of it until it is realized...if ever..haha. I did meet a good contact for getting it made...kinda came out of nowhere. Have a feeling it will cost too much to produce but...will see....
thank you very much Positivity...I appreciate your words, this is the result of many sacrifices and hard work...
then, I do not expect that everyone will understand how difficult it is ....
those working in design and engineering know what I mean....

Their rebel system looks good as well. Good find, Z
thank you...yes it is very good ... always DIY oriented ... and you can customize the spectrum ... is very useful for experimentation, with only a careful selection of Luxeon Rebel top BIN, and I guarantee you it's amazing what can be able to do...I have developed a spectrum that works very well ... but of course you can change ...

Someone in this thread said your company went out of business Zang? couldn't get in touch with you, guess not.....lol

beautifully designed fixtures and still one of my faves along with SDS's stuff, as expected from italians!

ciao
Ciao PSUAGRO...
I want to thank you really for your appreciation.
Is strange that someone said that, is not true obviously, however, we are not a big company, we are a small design studio and our lifeblood is the passion.
We are engaged on "several fronts", but we continuing every day to work on the project with the same passion and same motivation.
SDS Master Guru staff are exceptional objects! You know I love it!

That's a nice looking light @zangtumtum. It's the best one I've seen come out of Europe.

How do you like the BJB holders for the 3070s? Do they handle the heat of the COB okay? I ordered some to test them out, they're priced quite reasonably.

@PSUAGRO. You know who did go out of business though? Growblu.
Thank you Eraserhead i appreciate a lot!
Actually are objects that have been studied and simulated accurately for a long time, improved revision after revision, and are actually realy "machines of light".
We push the COB9 to 1350 watt...I have see incredible number...and incredible result!
their performance is really unreachable by others! we did a lot of field testing, and compared with the best on the market in fact of commercial led and best of HPS at the same power,
and there is no history. This is the pure and honest truth.

We do not do it for money, obviously these would help in the project, but we are very small lab, even though we have a lot of experience and we come from very large companies design,
but we are rebel,we do it for passion and to challenge ourselves, because we want effective treatments not words, because we firmly believe in the study of this medical solution, because we are tired of seeing objects useless and ineffective, and why not, for fun and to test us.

And all of this work confirms your thesis, hypothesis and useful applications.
This spectrum (3070 and V29)are really one of the best to date, if not the best.
Many people here are professionals and do not need me to tell, as evidenced by the facts.

About the BJB,I can assure you that they do not have, or create, a suitable temperature problems in our systems, in our setting.
In a long-run test we push every 3070 with BJB to 153watt(out of specification) for 18hours every day,for 6 months without problem.
It is particularly of "engagement", in my opinion, you should use solid wire 0.5mm for a secure attachment.

The bjb's are really good, and also clean looking with mini reflectors. Only 2 hole instead needing to be tapped instead of 4 for reflectors. And spacing an easy retrofit ideal holders. They just came out with 2 new models for the 3070(so 3 total). The 2 new ones have tabs to hold the chips in, one being the same 20awg size, but the other one, should be able to fit 18awg.
If using a reflector, watch the torque screwing them down. Too much can flex the holder and put some stress on the reflector tabs and break them over a little time.
