why LED over HSP?

and im still trying to figure out the best solution for this heat. I hear hydro is cleaner, I was thinking for the first go round soil, but ive read different types of soil TQ so im not sure. your thoughts?
Led are more energy efficient and they don't put nearly as much heat off as hps

Fuck a tent. With 40k, do it right and put up a wall dividing the area into at least 2 rooms. Preferably a veg room with a bank of fluorescent light or a MH light a flower room with HPS. Epoxy the floors (both rooms should have floor drains), put white glassboard up on the walls and vinyl cove base or silicone. Silicone the corners and make it water tight. No little critters in and no problems cleaning the area with a hose.

40k with an entire garage can go really quick. you will need to gut the garage down to the studs if it is finished. entire new electrical system, 50 plus outlets, maybe even a new service. you will need a cooling system....a mini split isn't going to cut it in a decent sized garage. new insulation.....i would use rock wool for its sound deadening and fire retardent features. add a couple of intake and exhaust vents....then a couple more just in case you need them. Rolls of the thickest poly film you can find. seal the entire interior with poly film, and caulk all of the outlets and exhaust vents before sheetrock. how will you seal the garage doors? maybe a new wall inside to keep things looking normal on the exterior. pvc trim and lots of caulk where drywall meets concrete to keep everything sealed. Epoxy the floor and add drains for cleaning/floods(they will happen). use 2x2 or 2x3 to set up your partitions on the interior and divide up your rooms. Use luan as your sheathing, and reflective film to seal your temp walls.(you will want to reconfigure at some point). Now you will need to think about light, dehumidifiers, commercial bud trimmers, etc.....only problem is you are out of money.

Why not out doors??

I'm no pro but I did do some research before I upgraded from 400 to 600hps...

I would invest in DE HPS sets they come in 1K but dimmable to 600. It saves power consuming, less heat involved and better light compared to standard hps or even the best led.

This is just from what I read I would suggest to have a look at em it could be worth your time.

And for the best harvest read up on perpetual harvest it's what I'm doing and a few others here. But I can't comment on strains and how they grow as I am nearly just a year old grower. I'm Still a noob lmao

Hope it helps
De lights run hotter then single ended hps. They actually consume more energy the gavitas are 1150 watts. That being said they are more efficient .

say you had two bedrooms? would the set up be as lengthy?cost wise? time wise? as many varibles for failur as a Garage? Ive only grown commercial or industrial, never residential

what does a double end HPS do that a regular one doesnt? you dont like LEDs? Do you like them for the veg process or nah?
I love LEDs. For veg and for flower. Although I can't yet afford a LED flowering setup to cover a 4x4 closet. But I use a LED for veg in a 3x3 tent.

I just didn't think flowering LEDs were affordeble for large commercial grows. Am I wrong?

As far as the double-ended HPS comment, I was simply sharing the sentiments of a long-time, successful indoor grower in California who taught me a lot about growing. That was just his opinion, but I put some stock in it. But maybe its wrong. I use regular HPS so I cant say.

LOL IF I manage to harvest:clap:

Its beginning to look alot like christmas where I am playboy, catch up

if you can manage...
Is that one of the of the ones you merely financed or did you get your hands on some scissors and get em dirty?

Big difference....

And if youre such a great grower wtf are you asking us for advice? Evidently you know what you need to know...if thats your grow...

Actually.... i think youre a fraud all around... dont believe you financed anything...dont believe you got the 40k to spend on your own set up. Prolly just another punk kid on here looking for attention...

I like the idea of LEDs for vegging, it just seems like lights are opinion based but good lights are good lights

you do not comprehend even the smallest iota of detail. Let this thread go sir, you have nothing to offer this thread much less society I am sure. so leave my questions alone and share than attention with someone or something who cares. Maybe a wall or a cat, obviously no significant other.

there is always more to spend but, was curious to see how to go about it within 40k, i always heard people starting with 10k and doing well, jus figured more bang more buck, I am think probably 300 plants, 3 car garage, and 25 600 HPS lights? will that amount of light yield me good produce from my plants?
And therin is the proof that you have never financed a grow. If you did then you would have a pretty solid idea of what 25 x 600w would yield and would not ask the question.

You are a pretender...like most others here...
