Starting an indoor grow with $40,000 from scratch! Tell me how you would!

You'll spend a fortune on lighting if you try to use LEDs in that big space.

A guy on another web site that taught me a lot is a commercial grower, and he uses double-ended HPS. I think that or regular HPS is going to be your best bet as far as lighting cost goes.
what does a double end HPS do that a regular one doesnt? you dont like LEDs? Do you like them for the veg process or nah?

why LED over HSP?

and im still trying to figure out the best solution for this heat. I hear hydro is cleaner, I was thinking for the first go round soil, but ive read different types of soil TQ so im not sure. your thoughts?
Screw LED. Let it go tits up and try replacing it immediately. HPS - you can buy the bulbs everywhere. KISS.

They're ten percent more efficient and the lamps go longer between changes.

You're not going to be able to know everything there is to know about building your op of you want to know anything about running the rest of your operation.

Therefore, lesson #1 is.... delegate!

lol yes i have a team ready to go but i dont like being on the outs, I want to know whats going on, this isnt my first grow, actually my third but my first in which i am doing more than putting up capital and collecting

I really just want to know how a nice pristine grow is manufactured. in your opinion.

That question is answered with a book and an on-site consultant- or years of personal experience.

How do you restore a Ferrari? I just want to know how to make it pristine...

...see what I mean?

Spare parts, bro. Any serious op is going to have extra panels to swap in for exactly that situation.
Right. With only $40K he'll be lucky to have spare HIDs. That ain't shit for real money when you set out to make real money and not just zips for spare cash. Hydro for sure.

And I agree, at least in principle, with those hear advocating you hire a consultant. Not full-time but within phone reach 24/7or close to it. Shit happens quick with hydro or any big op.
