I brought up wealth to illustrate the point that the same issue we have with politicians and a lack of accountability can also be found with any non-politican rich in our country. Its a far reaching problem.

I thought that was pretty clear. Sorry if I didn't illustrate it clearly enough....both times I addressed it so far

If it's a victimless crime, then yes rich people have money and can pay to make it go away. If people get hurt. Then people get paid off. It's more more likely to be settled out of court.

When you state "lack of accountability" that is normally in reference to elected officials, and politicians. Not so much the Kardashian family for example. What they do doesn't affect me. What Hillary does as secretary of state - possibly jeopardizing national security. That is entirely different. imo

Dude....
Lack of accountability when I say it in a specific context can obviously be taken at face value.....it is a saying that is commonly USED in politics...that does not mean that its only viable context(or common usage)is in politics. And saying that something is less important if it doesn't affect you is....at best...a lack of moral fiber. I see what your saying, I do. But personally I would be just as outraged if someone raped your wife as mine. Or a school bus of wives for that matter. Wrong is wrong. Trump or Clinton.

But really man, you should either stop deciding what peoples definitions of context are for them to suit your view...or enter politics (that was a joke right there)

And here's 1 I'm sure you'll love....if what you said is true and rich people only get off with victimless crimes, explain O.J. Simpson

That's a bad example imo, OJ got off because the LAPD fucked up monumentally. Better example would be someone like John DuPont or Bernie Madoff (dude went to "prison" but not the kind of prison you or I would be sent to)

haha...admittedly I thought the same thing when i wrote it...the planting evidence was sooooo unnecessary. I just couldn't think of a better example that was black. Figured it would tweak Not GOP's nipple

Thank you for citing more relevant examples.

So you're stating that if Trump were secretary of state and did the same thing as hillary, he wouldn't be getting any heat over this? I highly doubt that. Look at how they did general Petraeus. These beuracracies are mostly run by liberals, especially the DOJ

We are not discussing some dumb drunk rich kid high on cocaine crashing his dad's car into the neighbors garage.
It's funny you can't recognize the stupidity of this "argument"..

"It's all liberals! Liberals done it!"

Could you imagine if for every argument you put forth, I just said "It's all conservatives! Conservatives done it! They control all the conservative media and if you believe that bullshit, you must be in on it too!"...?

Come up with a better argument than "THEM LIBERALS!" and maybe somebody might take you more seriously..

You're winning the discussion even without the example

nothing. it's all fair game. Bernie needs to illustrate a clear contrast for the voters. He's not doing a good enough job with women voters. It wouldn't hurt to point out how Hillary's record is not as pro women as she claims it is.

bernie is playing puppet master to hillary. she's spending all her time trying to counter him

yeahhhh.....although its kind of hard to feel good about it when the person your attempting to have a rational debate with cant make any valid points that aren't foxnews scripted (which is an oxymoron in and of itself). Then cant answer why he believes ______ except by begging the question.

Honestly he seems to be having a hard time keeping track of what im even saying and just infers new meanings for things he doesn't like.

Hillary is rich as hell.
You defended Hillary by attacking Trump's wealth.
So you're stating that if Trump were secretary of state and did the same thing as hillary, he wouldn't be getting any heat over this?

When this is quite easy to understand.
First off that is ridiculous as it is a typical Trump point meant to stir the pot.
I mean...I don't particularly like her (Hillery) either. Not a 1 (right/left politician is) held responsible for their crimes/actions.
How is this note worthy? How is this new? How is it different from how the non-politician rich are treated in this country?
You want change? Stop believing in the Red/Blue spy vs spy cool-aid you've been drinking.

Go ahead and keep ranting. Hillary is rich as hell. You remind me of Bernie Sanders. You know how everybody has a Bernie in the family? Maybe an uncle or a inlaw. The type that shows up at your house in a Lexus or a Mercedes to tell you how great socialism is as they grab you by the lapel, with the spittle flying from their lips in some incohesive rant. Then they poke you in the chest with spit flying everywhere. Ya, I know the type.

seems uncle fester did more than poke you with more than his finger...............lot goin on here

But at least those are polite which is better then when he cant think of anything to say.

He used to go by 'beenthere', he's had multiple accounts at RIU and just keeps coming back when he gets banned, you're getting a little taste of it now. Stale as fuck, right?

There's been one or two conservatives to date since I joined in 06 that have been able to carry an intellectually honest conversation, voice their opinions, disagreements, arguments without using personal attacks or logical fallacies.. that's
it..

Well he is one of the guys arguing that a college degree of any kind doesn't net higher income with uncle buck. Pretty funny really. I don't think he really was arguing it doesn't, he just seems to get caught up by attacking a semantic comment and then needs to pound that argument through with no amendment no matter how wrong the line of logic may steer him.

That's an interesting observation, I agree; ideology and agenda are more important than truth and reality, and "winning" is paramount

haha...you would think he would save himself the headache and go join a religious survival group or something.
He wants to argue, that's why he's here. It's the same reason people like my sister watch "Catching up with the Kardashians".. because they love the drama. He's a middle-aged, balding man, the conservative/liberal, left/right paradigm is his supplement.

That's why you see establishment news - Fox (the shit these people devour the quickest) - with the most sensationalism, "moral outrage" while showing Victoria's Secret models in scantily clad lingerie or outrage over kids at spring break.. It's why the official policy for female Fox anchors is short skirts and blonde hair, and it's why the average Fox viewer is over 68 years old..

He's effectively a teenage girl in a middle-aged man's body, politics tingles his giney and telling people what they're allowed to do with their body is small government conservatism

Bernie as president would send an extremely clear message to politicians in both sides of the aisle that change is afoot and they'd best be reexamining their positions in light of the consequences to average Americans if they want their political careers to continue. All in all, a very good message!

How come Bernie voted for the "defense" budget? The one where the Pentagon has billions "missing" and the one where the Pentagon refuses to be audited. The budget that assures continuation worldwide occupation and death by the Empire.

No Bernie Sanders zombies seem able to answer why they support a status quo chicken hawk candidate...I wonder why.
