They can earn hundred of thousands more, that is if they didn't get a BS degree and they actually have real world job skills. But you can earn the same amount if you are crafty enough..

College can't teach drive and ambition.. ;)
Very true, but in a lot of instances it does teach drive and ambition. Even the flunkies i know are really motivated and like to work long hours. Bullshit degrees are tragic though. Poor fuckers pay for that shit forever cause they dont make enough to get by. Us crafty fuckers do ok though ;)

All good abe. I love you. Your almost alway positive round these parts. I never claimed to be a genius in any way, shape, or form. That would be as rediculous as claiming to have made a million dollars last year.

At the end of the day being in the right place at the right time and knowing what to do about it is still the best case scenario. But a solid education in the right subjects can greatly increase your odds of finding that opportunity.

Fuck it.....go take 3 night classes and buy a lottery ticket.

U dont believe me? I thought we were homies. Homie.
But i will prove to you guys the power of leverage!
Mathematics 101.
I will show you guy's what i make on a monthly basis.
But its from tennants and capital gains that my property management have to give us monthly.
Now keep in mind most of the money's is being reinvested and put back to work.
So yes ur making money but its not liquid funds.
It all put to use.
If i needed to get get lets say 100,000 i would have to get 1 home equity loan wich would take 2-3 weeks to get a check. But nonetheless its just as good as money.
I wish I made a million dollars in loans a year.

WAIT, no I don't.

Depends on what you want to get out of college, what kind of degree you get and what field you get it in

If you're looking to educate yourself and the job/income comes second, go into whatever you feel will best suit that need

If you're looking to make decent money after investing in an education, look into the top paying degrees with the highest placement. There are some technical degrees you can get that have very low job placement, you're going to want to avoid those

Here are the top 5 majors (according to payscale.com) if you just want to get an associates degree;

1. Management Information Systems (MIS)
2. Construction Management
3. Economics
4. Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET)
5. Electronics and Communications Engineering

Top 5 bachelors degrees;

1. Petroleum Engineering
2. Nuclear Engineering
3. Actuarial Mathematics
4. Chemical Engineering
5. Electronics and Communications Engineering

If you notice, 4 of the top 5 are in Engineering, and Petroleum Engineering is on every list I've come across

Conclusion: If you pick a degree with demand, it will be worth it, if you don't, you will likely end up with substantial debt and limited job opportunities
I can tell you when I worked in the oilfield the Petroleum Engineers made $500K starting off.. I never knew it was a Bachelors degree. But regardless the degree is bullshit unless you know someone, because in the oilfield, you can have all the expirence in the world but unless you are family or life-long buddies with someone, you'll never get a job..

Actually I consider it a good practice to be diversified, at least it works for me. My major investments are in real estate and judical use of tax deferal programs like 401K. The 401K contribution cap for a sole proprietorship is 53K this year. The elective deferral is 18K for those below 50 yrs old plus 25% of the plan comp up to the cap. I think the catch up contribution for those over 50 is about 6K.

Not a bad deal at all. Better you get your money at a lower tax rate in the future as opposed to the government getting it now so they can give it away to the free stuff guys.

I don't understand your questions.

Here's my point, if you have legit earned income, ie, declared taxable money it's all about getting the agi down. So in addition to your declared expenses, the deferred opportunity is also available.

Now if you're saying it's not declared earned income, well then it's a moot point.
