what size pots were those in? I also agree with the more light you use. I may go back to my 5 gal. but this is my test run of 2 gal. I have been studying the coco grows but haven't made my mind up yet

Im in the uk so i dont measure in gallons. I was using 15 litre pots, i think its just under 4 gallon but im not sure...

I have friends who trim before dry but i was told that the leaves which wrap around the buds are basically the first part of the curing process, cutting the leaves prevents that, but it it does dry them faster, each to there own i suppose, and ive only ever used coco and perlite so thats all i know, but its not the easiest medium, you can have alot of problems in coco, especially with cal & mag def, and there more prone to pythium so ive been told...

Coco is the nuts man, end of! I get 5oz per plant and thats dry obviously... running 6 x 600w for 12 plants or I do 16 and struggle to get in like you say. I veg for 4 weeks from rooted clone delivery or my own seed 5 week and then kapow the fuck out of em in coco n drips or DWC. But that stalk thickness is a genetic of the strain i'd say, i bet topped again you'd lose some heaviness I'd stick with a single topping personally, if it ain't broke n all that.... get me a cut man :bigjoint:

Like i said i have only ever worked with coco, i thought about soil but it stays wet to long for my liking, once the rootball properly established in coco you can heavy feed your girls every day im only 6 week in and there already drinking 2 to 3 litres daily and even then the pots are drying out alot more than id like, its hard work feeding upto twice a day towards the end but if you can get them drinking as much as possible without hurting them it cant be a bad thing, apart from all the nutes you use lol especailly canna boost is so expensive..

Don't I know it but its quality gear is canna no hassle yeah? Im at the end of flowering blues which are taking 5 litres drip a day in 4 x 15 minute feeds which runs out onto a concrete floor then to waste. I run outta pipe so my last plant just gets pissed into from its neighbour, its not my greatest grow ever tbf but more got me back on track!

I am going back n forth with my next lot as they're all in rockwool at moment and I need to get them growing ASAP, just want to do DWC but my new room aint prepped enough for it imo. Never used the boost as when I were in the business it wasn't a good consistent product but it is now, do you rate it then?

Yes theres certainly alot of bullshitters on these sites, i dont blame you for been skeptical, i was surprised as anyone to how well it went.. chronic lights and amnesia haze... heres some pics i just pulled off my old posts, this was the crop im talking about at various stages.. im hoping for a turn out like that this year, they were literally 3 ft stalks stacked with bud from top to bottom, by the laws of science they say using more than 1 600w per square meter is pointless but i reckon the more light the better my 600w are literally back to back and the space i grow in is so enclosed it acts as a perfect light trap, it just gets so overrun towards the end i have alot of trouble getting in to feed them especially when they start drinking a few litres daily, it becomes hard work...
Thats just bad ass. If you dont mind some quwstions..... how much space did you say you were using for flower? How tall are your plants when you switch to 12/12

My girls were around 1 ft tall when i flipped them, and tbh im not sure of the exact size of the room but its not very big, its an attic crawl space, i took these pics anout half hour ago, theres 7 plants there now as i chucked a few smaller ones away to make room for the big ones, and as you can see theyve filled the space nicely, even the bottoms of the canaopy get a ton of light as everythings real confined which i firmly belive has a big impact on the plants growth, it gets nice and humid which promotes alot of foliage, and i have a rhino extractor pulling all the warm air out, at the moment when i have all 3 lights on it hits 82f but the weathers still been pretty warm were i am, once it turns cold though ill have my temps at around 74f for the last 4 week of flower.

Im happy with these so far, biggest ive had at this stage as there only 6 weeks old from seed, well 6 weeks and 2 days... as you can see its only a small space but it works for me, its just hard to work in haha.

Oh yeah theyve just started to form there little nugs

Nooooooo!!! 2 of my girls hermied, i figured out that the back of my room was hotter than the rest which caused 2 of my white widows to sprout a few nanners, i caught them almost straight away as i always check my girls, i removed not just the nanners but the whole branchs the nanners were on even if it was only 1 node affected, and anything that looked suspect, its been 2 days now and i havnt encountered a single sack or nanner, both plants have been stripped just leaving 4 main heads on 1 and 5 main heads on the other which makes it easier to spot any new hermie growth.

What do you think guys?? Is it possible they'll be ok, ive switched things around in the room and dropped the temps at the back, so the cause of hermie has been figured out, ive just never had to deal with one before? What should i do? Heres a pic of the nanner,

i see the banana and based on the bud behind it looks like weeks 2-3 im guessing and this will definitely be a BIG problem if it stays around you will regret it unless its your only one left cut him
Yes i have friends who only use small pots fill a room out with them, i think they do it with autos though!!!, before crop there room just looks a forest of main colas and the canaopy always seems alot more even, so its defo something id try one day, imstill getting the hang of growing in general .... although i have been quiet lucky with crop size so far, i put it down to using a 600w for every 2 plants, it really seems to pack the bud on, ive been told its a waste of electricity but i dare not use any less through fear of getting a smaller crop lol
are you getting a pound per 600 if so not a waste of money or time

Ive got some hermie reverse from dutch passion which im going to use tonight, i will chop straight away if i see any sign of further hermie, im checking them twice a day and when i say check i mean every bud site, every node, every stalk, is there a chance it wont come back if i sorted the reason why it hermied, and obviously using the hermie reverse should at least do what it says its going to do..

I just started on 6 pure kush. What does it smell like? how does it smoke? how well does it yield?
Grew a couple of Pure Kush beans about a year ago and I'll just say this: The first time I smoked it, the shit had me scared to drive. Shit was straight fire! I'm still kicking myself in the ass for not cloning it.

Yes well even if i see one nanner or sack im just going to chop, its not a nice thing to do but the more i think about it keeping them seems foolish, 6 weeks down the drain, all i can hope for now is that my remaining 6 make use of the extra space and light... :( sad times

Could quarantine and and try to push it back to veg to cross with another strain you like, then plant the seeds from that pollenated female and see what you end up with. :bigjoint: Requires that they CANNOT get any pollen to your females though, much care must be taken when doing this...
