Trudeau made a stop in Harperville and drew thousands of attendees to his Calgary rally earlier today.

To see large numbers come out for anyone but conservatives in Alberta is really something. Can't wait to see what kind of dirty Con shots get fired at the libs in the coming hours.

To step into harpers house and light it up like that is sure to sting.

Former PMO lawyer Benjamin Perrin is quoted saying "the conservative government has lost the moral authority to govern".

Apparently after all he's seen (done) and been through he is voting for change and will not vote conservative even though he's been a lifelong conservative.

He DOES look broken. I want to see him quit on the spot tomorrow night. Hopefully we end up with a strong minority Lib gov and we start pressuring them to legalize on Tuesday. The big unknown is what happens with us mmj patients, hopefully we can get answers and action out of the new Health Minister.

libs would need a non-confidence vote to do anything before the new year is my understanding. my friend pb made the point yesterday that the libs might wait until budget time before doing anything legalization related, when they might come up with a number of how much money we will make from taxation of the weed and start from there.

Steve is done unless he wins a majority. The ndp and libs have both said they will not support another Harper gov and will vote him out in a non confidence motion.

The budget timing sounds reasonable as a way to introduce legalization, at least this bill would have something to do with a budget unlike con omnibus bills that have everything wrapped up in it.

Legalization or some form of it may take some time, but at least it's within reach. :)

what I meant is even if the libs win, the cons will still be in power until the end of 2015. they would need a non-confidence vote to do anything before the new year.

I'm not too sure, I believe the ndp will support a lib minority but both will defeat the cons if they pull off a win. The libs and ndp will have to work together under a minority scenario, Canadians won't want another election and both parties know it, so neither will want to harm themselves by forcing a new election unless there is clear and concrete reason, like a huge scandal.

I'm not understanding why the cons would still be in power if the libs win, can you help me out a bit in case I'm missing something please?

I'm really curious what new directives will be given to the RCMP. things could be hands off for a while.
