There's No Correlation Between Gun Ownership, Mass Shootings, & Murder Rates

total fallacy.

it's a proven fact that those who carry and successful at determent are off-duty cops.

they train, train, train and have to re-qualify every quarter or so.

i don't care how many times you've been to the range..it's not the same.

my husband used to call you couch cowboys 'volunteer victims'.

So your husband was poor with a gun,...not my fault. Besides, you only need to pull it to watch them run,...My best shooting pistol is a single action, I`m in my glory with an auto or anything with a clip. Once you develop your hand to a heavy gun with easy pull, it`s like riding a bike. Cops are trained to panic shoot til target is stopped,...bad idea, you aint got much left doing that.

Cool head and steady hand beats 50 rounds a minute.

But I`ll give you this,...those Jose Whales wannabe type are out there. But they`re young and stupid.

Here`s your fallacy,...three streets, one is full of gangs armed, the other two unarmed mix population and gang,....which street do you go down ? Without even shooting or pulling it, ..... determent.

Just because they have a badge and go play games does not mean they are any more qualified to carry. We have seen plenty of this recently.

It sickens me at what happens. Its horrible what has happened.

When can you come to the understanding that a weapon is a tool. It is the person killing not the gun.

Its not as simple as ban all guns.

We have a right to own guns. That right is not to be infringed. The right to gun ownership is for several reasons. We have a right to protect ourselves from tyrannical government.

What is the answer? It needs to be more complex than "ban all guns.". We need better mental health services and screenings.

I get what your saying. Believe me. I want what you want. A safer world. I would like to see my kids grow up safely.

The problem with idiots and homicidal maniacs shouldn't stop me, a law abiding citizen with no history of violence, from owning guns. That includes the scary AR15 and AK47.

I lock my guns up. In a safe and behind multiple locked doors. I keep one on me.

I was raised with guns. I had to take a 3 day hunters education course. It is required to have that card to hunt.

I teach my kids the same. I have a very clear understanding of what being a responsible gun owner is. My kids will be the same.

I don't play when it comes to guns and gun safety.

My guns will never harm anyone. There is only one exception to that. To save my family or myself.

Matter of fact, I have faced the situation where I could have used deadly force. Those times I stayed calm. That gave me the extra time to not need to shoot.

We are not all blood thirsty savages because we have guns.

If your wanting new laws why not attack those that cause the problem. If its your gun and its is used in a crime you should be charged to. Mandatory to lock them up and keep them from other people.

I watched a Police and Fireman competition one time. One of the contests was running 20 yards, then once they stopped they had 5 seconds to fire at a target. Not a single person, policeman or fireman, hit the target.

People act like because they have a badge they are special. Police should be held to a higher standard. The badge means nothing.

People are what they are. We have been murdering, pillaging, raping, massacring each other since the beginning of time. Genocide, homicide and the sort will never disappear.

We are a savage people.

Its sad but the truth.

the fact remains, there is no evidence that having a gun as an innocent bystander to thwart criminal activity is successful.

because it isn't.

did i say fact?

Then whoever is looking for that evidence is blind. or Is up to no good.

Look (pun) at it this way,...having a firearm as a criminal, give that criminal a distinct advantage over the victim, to nullify that advantage, you give the victim a gun, the criminal has no advantage and it can go either way.

Nobody is that stupid. Whoever is looking for evidence is up to no good.

No fact there. That is rhetoric.

Me being armed gives me equal or advantage over the criminal. To think otherwise is just plain silly.

That is pure blindness to state that.

He is just mad he isn't a rothchild but merely a poor Jew living off what he like to call a woman
Despite his rude demeanor, I have refrained from harshing on his beloved. She does seem charitable to host him, but some women like to take on men as "projects". He clearly fits that description.

Wait a minute. Since the murder rate of preschoolers with guns is not terribly high, perhaps being a cop isn't as dangerous as they make it out to be. So maybe they need to at least stop using the weapon first and think later, and like police in many first world, developed nations, perhaps they don't all need firearms. I think the nature of SWAT teams is very questionable; its use is too often a case of 'have the force, so let's use it' mentality.

We've managed to prove that if we militarize our police then our outlaws will also do so. Does this make us any safer?
Why are you for unconstitutional executive power at the federal level, but no unconstitutional executive power at the state level?
