I don't see angry hate filled rants on social media as very becoming of a politician. These people that can't control themselves on Facebook and twitter have no place in politics where the questions and ridicule they receive will be on a much larger scale.
There's is no excuse for her actions. I don't care how long ago the tweets were, people need to smarten up on the internet. These people that post this retarded shit on social media have proven they are way too fucking stupid to be anywhere near politics. I'd hope that every party now has hired someone to go over every single party members social media. You post something on the internet it's there forever. People that are too dumb to realize this shouldn't have a hand in running a country.
Having pictures of your husband posed as a gang banger accompanied by some very hateful and threatening rants does not represent Canada well, it also doesn't represent First Nations people well.
Brazeau is gangster enough for all politicians in Canada.

Yeah,I sent a email to my local ndp candidate, never heard back from her. I did get added to the NDP mailing list though and was lucky enough to get the customary requests for donations for my troubles. I think I posted the letter on here somewhere.

At least with social media the general public is vetting the candidates. Apparently the parties aren't checking into who is representing them.
But what standard are we setting to hold politicians to in the future if you give them the boot for old Facebook post? I think doing that will have the opposit effect that we want. We want open honest real people running the country not a perfectly packaged never done anything "offensive" in their past ect. That person doesn't exist. So what we're doing is creating a political system where only the smartest physiopaths can survive and be elected. Not good. I'd rather vote for someone who's made stupid mistakes and owned up to them and wants to move past. If the behavior was ongoing or took place over a long period of a candidates life then that's a diffrent story. Let's not forget we're talking about a Halloween photo either. To me it's a non issue that the conservatives and liberals want to jump on and exploit. Both of those party's have way worse skeletons in their closets.Another one that needs to bite the dust.

Nice to see Ndp saying what I've said they stand for. I take it the end of the medical marijuana fight is within sitght. Vote Ndp if it matters to you. Vote liberal if you want more tax and lp bullshit weed.

So m listening to Elizabeth speak about university education, student loans and the disconnect within that system...I heard Justin speaking earlier...he's not doing that sing song thing as much anymore...does anyone else see this long campaign backfiring on Haprtler? These guys-Elizabeth, Justin and Thomas all get more polished as we go along...am I the only one seeing this? And Elizabeth tweeting the debate tomorrow is classic!

I checked Elections Canada website yesterday to find out where I vote and it says "polling station locations coming soon" or some shit. WTF? we are one month away, or in my case 23 days till the advance poll. I wonder if it's part of Steve's Unfair Elections Act... It'd be kinda nice to know where to vote before the polls close.
