Romulan wk 8 flower... lots of leaves dying, normal?

I was just wondering if it is common for bottom leaves to slough off towards the end of flowering? Lots of crunchy leaves on the floor and still have a week to go. Should I bother messing with it this far along? Thanks in advance.

Judging by that picture you have at least 4-5 weeks to go.
Oh wow! So that would be like 12 wks then. I was thinking only 9 wks but I guess you can't really go by the average flowering time anyway. Thanks, hopefully she will make it.

So here are a couple more pics. If I subtract a week from 12/12 start time due to it taking a week to start flowering, then I am currently 7 1/2 wks into flower. She is in ffof and under a kind k5 750 led panel. I water twice a week and give nutes once a week (ff tigerbloom and cal/mg) temps around 78-82 degrees. Not sure what I am doing wrong but lots of lower leaves sloughing off. She did miss a watering a couple weeks back because I had to go out of town unexpectedly. When I got home she was droopy but rehydrated overnight. Other than that one time, I have been consistent. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks. Also, trichs are mostly cloudy (no amber seen) and only about 2/3 have balls on the tips, checked with a scope yesterday.

If she goes without water for too long some leaves will not recover and die off. It can also happen from not enough light penetration. Training her will open up the canopy more and allow for better penetration of light thereby increasing bud size on the lower bud sites. Lollipopping will also help direct the energy of the plant to upper colas increasing their size.

I am looking forward to growing Romulan. I have some reg seeds coming my way soon. I am kind of hoping that one is a male so I can use the pollen to make some crosses. I have grown The Flav for awhile now ( Romulan x Cindy 99 ) and have been wanting to grow Romulan for some time.

Ok, thank you. I will work on training techniques in the future :) I only just topped this one twice in veg and supercropped the 4 main branches. I didnt do any pruning or lollipopping tho. Seems she has sort of lollipopped herself then.

You have a classic case of overfertization.

The nutrient used was delivered too often/too much....Then, you started a high P bloom food too early.
While some leaf die off is expected....I would call yours well over that (remove the dead leaves). The high P is the problem there and it's not fixable in the sense that the leaves will recover.
You can slow that down by watering with straight water for a week.....pH to 6.5 and use that....Then restart nutrient use and reduce amount used by 25%.

Avoid that next time by not switching to the "bloom" food til week 3 after you flip the lights to 12/12...

if you are only using tiger bloom and cal-mag thats your problem right there. you have to add a small dose of grow big as well to give it enough N, plant still needs N during bloom just not too much, try adding a tsp per g every other watering next time

That looks nothing like the 2 Romulan I grew out from Next Generation. Where did you get the seeds?
My Romulan were marble buds, super dense, hard and dark, also full blown hermies.
