6 weeks flower with no trichomes

Has anyone ever encountered sativa dominant seeds (randoms from nirvana) which have grown and developed budsites but no trichomes to the naked eye at 6 weeks after 12/12 flip? I would understand if they looked sickly, but they are all green. Maybe if the environment sucked or if there were light leaks, but that's not it either.
If they are true sativas then just give them some time. They will most likely surprise you. Even some indica strains do not produce many trichomes until the final weeks of flower.

thanks everyone for everything, but i'm still not sure if i'm going to keep them. valuable space taken up by unknown genetics is really starting to bug me. if i knew it was kali mist or something that takes that long because it's that's good, then things would be bugging me a lot less.

I have a Fresh Candy from Pyramid seeds that is growing like this. At nearly week 7 there is barely any resin, but buds are still growing.

Some strains also aren't very frosty, but that's not inherently a telltale sign of low(er) potency. Some strains have more vegetative growth than trichome production yet are just as potent as frostier strains.
There are no absolutes in nature!
