Texas Secession Underway: Now They Want Their Gold Back

I guess us Texans have bigger fish to fry. I know I do - I have farm to run, a disabled wife to take care of, a vineyard that is out of control, peaches, blackberries, veggies coming out my ears, etc.

With the way the feds are screwing things up, would you want them in control or "protecting" your money? Not this boy.

"The bill states the gold will be beyond the purview or control of any "governmental or quasi-governmental authority" that is not directly administered by the state of Texas."

This is about the pioneering spirit of Texans. We don't want nor need a (misguided) collective of people called the Federal Government in our lives. It's all about state control and rights....principles.

Speaking of seceding, it's all talk and always will be. And me being a certified 'Sons of the Republic of Texas' member, I wouldn't mind it a bit.

Huh? Has nothing to do with the north vs the south. You liberals want and demand another group (the feds) take care of you.

We Texans don't. We can and do take care of ourselves quite well. ;)
but isn't it against federal law to hold gold regardless of what you governor signed?

texas was formed by the scummiest of scumbag white squatters illegally invading and settling the land to the disdain of the natives who saw whites as lazy shitheads who couldn't and wouldn't even treat their own slaves with any decency.

i'm sure you are a proud son of that republic though, benis.

If a state has the right to independence from a federation, shouldn't a person have a right to independence from a state?
