Doctors In Alberta

Moving to Alberta and just wondering what the situation is as far as compassionate doctors/docs that sign.

Should I renew my script here before I move to give me a few more months to locate a doc or should I be able to find one fairly easily?

Any info would be great, thanks in advance

Thanks dudes. Probably gonna switch to a producer in bc. Broken coast or whistler. Though whistler is rediculously expensive.

Just to cut down wait times.

Alberta is one of the most backwards provinces regarding marijuana...I would get your script before you move. Anyone else have an issue with provincial physicians colleges can make their own rules in dealing with a federally regulated plant?
Yeah my sister has been in Alberta for eight years and got in a pretty bad car accident two years ago. She has permanent nerve damage in her leg, also aches and pains as she broke her leg in like 4-5 places. Just able to walk properly within the last few months. Any whoo.

No doc would sign for her, tried a few. They were more willing to give her a drug that give dogs with similar nerve related injuries. I swear to god, no joke. So she just smokes anyways lol. But this is what initially made me ask.

Where in ab you heading? Calgary sucks IMO. Edmonton is cool. Red deer was fun. Llyodminster was fucking sweet form how small it is. Anywhere near the mountains is not that bad.

Tees. About 40 minutes outside of red deer. A community of 77 people. It's going to be like an episode of fucking corner gas. But money's good.

77 people? The town should have 3-4 liquor stores. If you're even a foot outside town good luck getting anything for internets other then satellite. Gas is cheap. Grocery are more expensive. You're not that far from Edmonton or Calgary. You can drive almost as fast as you want. You'll find out quick where the RCMP sit if they sit and do radar anywhere near where you live.

There are a few towns that are nearby so I should be able to avoid some of the extra cost on groceries and what not, hopefully.

anyone expecting to come to alberta to make a fortune ever since the price of oil plummeted is in for a surprise. There's been widespread layoffs, companies going bankrupt, and a lot of the companies that aren't directly involved in oil and gas but play a support role have scaled their employees salaries back or they are now working 3-4 day work weeks. The "Alberta Advantage" is a farce that solely relies on the energy sector. couple that with inflated housing costs, grocery costs and high electricity, water and natural gas bills and i'll tell you it's really hard to make ends meet most months. My wife and I are currently debating whether we should leave Alberta for a province that doesn't rely on the success of 1 commodity to fuel it's entire economy. How's things going in B.C?
