Do you know who Marion Barry is?
He was the Washington D.C. Mayor who was busted smoking crack in a hotel with a hooker. Caught on film, lost hid job, ran again, and was re-elected a few years later.....I think that's the story.

i still cant belive they reelected him, shows how many folks in dc dabbled in crack...
the tga strain may be named after him but i am sure you know that the marionberry is a really sweet and flavorful offshoot of the blackberry
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marionberry
The 'Marion' cultivar (Rubus L. subgenus Rubus) or Marion blackberry, marketed as marionberry (help·info), is an indigenous blackberry developed by the USDA ARS breeding program in cooperation with Oregon State University. It is a cross between the 'Chehalem' and 'Olallie' blackberries.[1] The marionberry is currently the most common blackberrycultivar,[2][3] accounting for over half of all blackberries produced in Oregon.[4]

Costco sells Marionberry preserves every now and then. Put that on Vanilla Ice Cream.......Heaven.
You'll end up eating a hell of a lot toast, muffins, bagels just to keep eating it!

The Tillamook Ice Cream isn't bad but (imo) the crust gets in the way of the berries.

Rude wake up call...
Good morning all. I was up early today (5:00am) outside by 5:45am, cleaning around the house, going to do a dump run first thing. Went to the dump, had 2 get hay on the way home. While getting hay a bunch of fire trucks go racing by, I don't think to much about it. On my way home I see smoke, kind of in the same direction as home. Long story short a 2 story home burned to the ground about a 1/4 mile from my home. Coming down the road it looked like it could be my house, not sure until right there at my house to see it was not mine. Nobody hurt except their animals were killed. Fire never spread past the lot, so we're safe here.
To close for comfort,
