I've got a friend that lost a finger to a bite. It was pretty gruesome. Killing snakes isn't the answer. Whenever you kill a rattle snake that rattles you're selectively breeding for rattle snakes that don't rattle and thus bite without warning.

Vaccine for Rattlesnake bites-
Well after her 2nd Rattlesnake bite in less than a year I called our vet about getting Marley a Rattlesnake vaccination (I never knew they had them). Our vet says he don't give the Rattlesnake vaccine to his patients (now I know why I've never heard of the vaccination). He thinks it's a waste of money/time. He says that the vaccine needs to be updated a couple times a season, and doesn't work that well. He said we did the right thing by giving her Benadryl and pain killers.
So, no vaccine for Marley who is full of "piss and vinegar" today.

P.S. The weatherman is calling for 90's today and tomorrow, and 100 degrees on Saturday. I wanted a warm up, but 100 is a bit much. I guess I need to be careful what I wish for.

We dont really feel the heat till its 112
Do it waz you tmb that posted last yr your dog got bit by a rattler ? I kinda remembered someone posting that and had a gut feeling it was you ..glad shes looking good now
A king brown snake bite here is instant death if its even a young one...those snakes are one of the deadliest in the world and will kill a full grown man in less than an hour if not given anti venom asap

I phoned my vet just to see what they say about it. They get their vaccine from UCD and it is given as a preventive two shots 25 bucks each 3 weeks apart. then once a year for $28 dallors after that. they seem to think it's worth the money considering the cost of having no vaccine at all. She did say that if it's the second bite that more than likely Marley has built up her own anmunity to the bites.

Peeking over the mesh!
A TMB update, the "good" and "not so good" in the garden. The Orange O.G., Grand Master, Mad Purps, and the SR-71 are right where I wanted them to be. Not even June 1st and a couple are peeking over the 5' wire mesh. The Medijuana is try'n to flower, but since the nicer weather it looks like she's starting to reveg. On the advise of Nuggs I'll let her go. The Kosher kush has really perked up after suffering major wind burned from the ride home from the spring BBQ.
My NL x BB is confused too, she started flowering, but it too is reveging now. The "fall" like weather the last few weeks confused those 2 plants, but the warmer temps I'm sure will help things take off.

Marley back to normal and hunting again,

amazing plants TMB! everything looks healthy man. i cant tell if my plants are veggin or flowering anymore :eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::roll: thank goodness theres plenty


btw hope marley stays healthy and away from snakes!

Into the SCROG
A TMB picture update. The Orange O.G., SR-71, and the Grand Master are into the SCROG screen now. The Mad Purps will be there soon. The Kosher Kush continues to grow like crazy and catching up quick. The Medijuana and the NL x BB are back to the veg mode.

I'm weaving them through the SCROG screen now. The screen is 5' off the ground, so if untouched 3 of the plants would be close to 5' above the smart pots. I want MONSTERS this year, looking to have each plant fill in a 10' x 10' SCROG screen before Aug 1st.

get it TMB i think you got it no problem, especially with your proven strains. im running all the gear except the Cherry pie from JJ cause i cant get enough,. good luck man keep on keeping on:clap::clap::clap:
