There's absolutely no way ~320W of Vero 29 Version 2.0 output, at around 42% efficacy, can adequately cover sixteen square feet of canopy, especially when being emitted from a 1' x 1.5' area light source.

I have no problem bashing Optic, especially when they make false claims and feed consumers bull shit; I'm a grower too, just like the bunch of ya's.

(:

I hope the light does you wonders, City, but don't expect any miracles with this 360 model... at least not in such an open space.

Well my broken new lamp showed up today. It was shipped in a plastic tote packed, crappy and arrived broken one of the drivers separated itself from its case rattled around and pinched a bunch of wires in between the heatsink and itself and managed to unhook one of the lamps that's the wire and holding. Emailed them we'll see what happens. Not happy

I'm not a pro at shipping but a plastic tote...? Hmm... odd...

Soldering wires can be a pain in the ass but I've never had wires come unloose when soldered.

I emailed them at optic and got in touch with staff right away they were very bummed out for me and offered everything from cross shipping to wiring harness do whatever I want plus a discount. They're sending me all the pre-fabricated pre-terminated wiring harnesses for the entire unit for me to install by myself currently I'm running the unit on 3 vero 29 s out of four with the cxb3070 in as well its dam bright. Wall to wall. I'll be receiving the harnesses in a couple of days along with the 20 percent discount and a sincere apology, s*** happens it's how you wipe it up that counts and these guys wanted it wipe it up quick while I can't say much for the shipping container their customer service more than makes up for it.

It's a brand new light, and they're expecting you to rewire half the thing yourself, because of their poor choice in packaging materials? I would've asked for a new light delivered asap or a refund. I was seriously considering going with Optic, but after this display, probably not.
Good luck with your grow City, I really hope this works out for you.

Glad to hear they are trying to make it right. They spend more on a tote like that rather than using cardboard so if they get negative feedback from customers will likely switch. I received several test lamps in plastic totes and I liked the approach but maybe the totes can't take a beating as well as cardboard?

The driver should click right back into it base if you line it up and push it back in. I have seen them do that before the velcro has a stronger grip than the cover plate but the idea is to make them easily removeable in case the lamp ever needs service.

As far as the wiring, it might be easier to just bug it in rather than rewiring the whole thing. Is that a fan wire or a COB wire?

Yeah I thought about it too I didn't want to be a two year old just stop my feet, but they left all the office today and I chose this as it was the quickest. Optic vero your packaging sucks, but your customer service is strong.

The wire I'm holding came off a clip attached to the light itself. I was told to unclip the harness from the driver be sure no bare wires are showing and run the light with 3 optics. Received an email within hours showing shipping of all wiring harnesses inside with quite a generous discount coupon. As for coverage I was quite surprised to see 16 1 square foot tiles well-lit in my hallway at 16 inches, wall to wall in a 4 by 4 by itself probably not, but a three and a half by three and a half will flower strongly.

A two tear old stomping his feet? You just paid full retail price for a light that your going to have to DIY before you can actually use it. Seriously, think about that for a minute. What was the point of paying for them to manufacture it, when you have to redo the job, upon arrival?
I'd wager that once you redo this wiring harness they're sending you, once the power comes on, you'll realize there was more damage done to the light than you originally thought during shipping, and then you'll have to make more repairs. That is why I'd be asking for a new light or a refund.
