The positive, economic effect of lowering the minimum wage to $0

The millions of people who work under the table would disagree.
Right, but thats ethics. It can't be both ways. One can't bitch about how the Feds take their money and then work an illegitimate illegal job and demand handouts because they're poor on the other.

no one has ever been forced to sign a W4 at gunpoint, spaMBLA.

You refuse to acknowledge you don't own the land your house is built on, so that's as far as we go on that front

I'm not gonna sit here and argue with someone that 2+2=5...

If a person does not own their consent, who does?

Can I give your consent for you? Can a group of people give your consent for you? How does that work?

It seems like your belief that others can give your consent is not adding up.

Your refutation is an attempt at diversion and does not explain what actual consent is.

People who work under the table usually don't.

It's simple logic; if you don't like the government and you don't want to pay taxes, move. If you don't have the ability to do so, earn your way out. But in either case, put up or shut up. Debating the rationale of taxation is just silly. Debating the quantitative variables of taxation is another. You for example have a business with employees, and you pay tax. I'm sure you have things to say about the amount of taxation, and those are certainly debatable and you may very well have valid concerns. But Robby is flat out saying all taxation is coercion, thus debating the rationale of taxation, which again as stated earlier, is just silly.

Power of attorney. Proof that someone else can give consent for another. Another one of your bat shit theories shot down.

Sure, we've all had to have roommates in the past, that's how it's done! Not too hard to do.

If everyone wants the minimum wage hiked up to fix this "problem" (normally called "life") why don't they set a mandatory federal maximum on rent?
Do you think 93% of economic gains should go to 1% of the population? Should CEOs of some of the largest corporations earn tens of millions of dollars per year while their employees require government assistance (my money, your money) to pay their bills?

How do you know that? Can you prove it?

Also, you've changed the topic to the absurd, which means you lose again. Now go help your buddy see4, he's lying in an alley blubbering about a big hairy thing fucking him up and stealing his money. Bring him some clean pants too., size 38 long ought to do it.

Did you really just say that? Really?

The Power of Attorney you speak of is INITIATED by a consensual action of the person giving the power of attorney. Therefore it arises from a consensual agreement. . I'm sorry I thumped you so hard in the alley that obvious things have escaped you. Here, have a life saver kid.

Sure, I'm cool with it. They got themselves there by hard work and brains. It's not like a big fucking ping pong ball lotto wheel spun around and their numbers got picked. That's what capitalism is, and how our country runs. Socialism and communism are more for equality, but not capitalism.

If I take $.93 of the dollar you earned and give you $.07, you'd be cool with that?

The bare minimum customary standards. 3 meals a day & rent, that's it. So if someone works 40 hours a week and can't afford that because their wage is too low, is that OK?
My rent is 5000 a month and I live in a small mansion and only eat lobster and fillet and saffron.

I need a raise. Or maybe I should change my living situation and diet.

You have to define living situations I guess or deem what the minimum standard would be. Otherwise anyone could just make up numbers and say they don't have enough. And if we do that we are now allowing the government to dictate where we should live and how we should eat, is that correct?

Here dumb dumb, lets reiterate.

You posed those three questions. Dumb dumb.

And there is my answer to those three questions.

Can you show me the erm, "power of attorney" the "social contract" arises from?

Also, you said a person can consent to another person acting on their behalf. That is an argument FOR my argument, not yours...dumb dumb. You are the one on the side of the argument saying consent can arise in a situation where no actual agreement took place and there is duress present.

I think the Skunk Ape hit you too hard, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had such a girlish inability to take a half hearted tap. Hit the gym, you need it.

How is this argument still going?? Wage minimums are necessary to keep slavery from restarting.
Looking at the title of this thread to what some of u are bringing up is hilarious.
If you honestly think a $0 min wage would help ur business or country you are an idiot and should pack up and move to a communist country.

Do you think people should have to work more than 40 hours a week to survive?
No I personally don't. 40 hours of work don't count the. Hour unpaid lunch or the nasty commute anyone who lives. In a top ten metropolitan area. 40 hours is plenty considering out of a 24 hour day you spend 6/8 hours sleeping. What's left for you to enjoy. 40 hours is plenty. And I tip my bears cap to anyone working more
