Freedom of Speech might work best when paired with intelligence but it is afforded too all in the US dumb and smart as a Constitutional Right. Someone Dumb might not know all their rights so naturally they can be taken advantage of or convinced they don't have a right when they do. I see it all day, posted on Facebook, cops bullying people out of their rights.
You say its not a freedom of speech issue if it was we'd be locked up. We don't get locked up in the US for exercising our Constitutional Rights. Not legally anyway..
You are right about the way they have to run their business to stay open but its because some dumbass in government other than the shop owner said it has to be that way or we'll shut you down. Which is what my post is about.
And if you lived in the US, you would know you don't take Constitutional Rights issues to city hall.
Or maybe you do and don't know your rights.

I think it might have been a little the "Don't be a dumbass." ... And a lot the steroids I just started taking today for an upper respiratory infection. Steroids got me feeling like the hulk with PMS..

IDK of any other store in America that if I say the wrong thing that I'm banned from purchasing anything for the rest of the day in that store.. So WTF. Does anyone else feel this way?

You can get that kinda treatment in any store , go into a store & let the owner/employees know your buying booze or tobacco for a minor & they wont sell to you .

Go into a gun store & tell them your gonna do something illegal with the ammunition & you'll be refused service , it applies to all stores where their product can be used legally or in an unlawful manner , its just the business owner looking out for his own ass , when i owned the co-op members would say stupid shit like " Man Bob's gonna love this shit " or " This shit looks killer , its gonna have Sue all fuked up , ignorant shit like that & we had no choice to refuse them service , same as telling the pharmacist you plan to share your meds or abuse them , it isnt really all that hard to think before speaking .

I wouldnt be angry at the shop keeper if your in an illegal state , shops that sell paraphernalia are scrutinized like a mother fuker to begin with .

Possibly now would be the time to gently break it that in illegal states they usually have cameras on those shops and follow up on plates. But I am not that mean, nah not me.

Except Missouri. It is my (possibly imperfect) recollection that Missouri residents have the (state) constitutional right to serve tobacco and alcohol to minors on their own property.

Thats obvious and should get you the boot in a non legal state but saying bong, bowl or chillum? A simple "I didn't quite hear you... Did you say water pipe" etc. is a lot better way to handle the situation without treating your customers like low life's and kicking them out. Headshop employees usually take an attitude with any customer that slips up with the headshops PC crap.

How do they shut these shops down? They send their kid in (wired of course) and make sure that their kid mentions marijuana. Then, if the store sells anything to the kid, the store gets shut down. And then the kid's aunt gets to open her Hallmark store in that nice retail space.
