25 years ago today was my 1st concert...Metallica and Queesnryche at Texas Stadium in Dallas. Had some skunk bud and was frosted out of my miiiind. Two things I'll never see again...Queensryche and original skunk :(
Queensryche I seen a few times up till Rage For Order and they were awesome to say the least
and Metallica used to be close friends of mine. I have killer pics of us getting really crazy together
in '83- 86 at a few different places gave them rides and their road manager to some
local parties and yes I still have their phone numbers and a couple of their parents phone numbers as well. I have wild stories about us.
Not bragging just sayin'.

Lol, Ratt. Round n round
Yes I've partied with these guys as well a few times cause my very best friend was A&R at Atlantic
Records here in Hollywood so Ratt , Nick Loft (A&R) a couple of my friends and I smoked together
in Reseda, Cali very famous rock club where most all rockers played and partied. We also sat together at the Roxy in Hollywood. The singer for Ratt Steven Pearcy was truly an idiot all the time but a great singing voice.
I got party history, stories and pics with all kinds of rockers from Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Queen, OZZY band members (Rudy and Randy) early days, I grew up and hung out with Randy Roads, his brother Kelly and their mom in Burbank. I used to also help Quiet Riot set up at local backyard birthday parties and venues outside of Burbank. One time at a backyard party in Tujunga the cops raided it
and everyone scattered then I seen a cop take one of Randys guitars leaned it against a wall and
kicked it in half. Randy and I freaked and couldn't believe what the cop just did.
Rush and many many more rockers. Way too many to name. Literally.
Again not bragging just sayin! Seriously! Fuck, I like to share ok!? ;-)
Sorry for being so annoying!

my first concert was some punk band you've never heard of playing in a fire hall in a town you've never heard of..
my first 20 or so shows were mostly like that, with a few towns you may have heard of thrown in the mix..
my first arena rock show was ozzy, with metalica opening up for them... think it was the blizzard of oz tour, and metallica were touring for master of puppets. cliff was still alive, and they were great.. ozzy always puts on a good show..

Nice! I still have my full ticket for that show 2nd row center (Long Beach Arena) and I took plenty of great pictures up close that I still have. No shit! No doubt Randys mom would love to have these.

Rush, permanent waves might have been it..I brought a T shirt and wore it to gym class

Had tickets for Led Zeppelin and the freaken drummer past away--after I beg my folks to go saying how that the band was OK, then the one dude parted himself to death...that wasn't too cool.my folks were happy the whole concert was canceled and the band was history....Stairway to Heaven was the only good song they ever had.........yeah right ....thats my least favorite, ha ha

Ozzy in the mid 80's was awesome but at the time we thought the dude was too old

After the 80's, I turn to rap and now hip hop....some rap videos are OK, like No new friends..I rather see that then a bunch of old men like the Rolling Stones..which were very cool in the 60's and 70's but now think they can still perform...nah, even old stuff like ying yang twins is better, IMO.....Say I Yi Yi
Yes I noticed most all yesteryear rockers that still perform are only a shadow of
what they used to be back in their heyday no shit it's true.
I seen '70's KISS and they were too killer then I seen them early '90's and
they sucked big time! A shadow of what they used to be. This goes for most all rockers from back in the day that THINK they still rock what a joke!

Where is it you get to go for only 7 years and become a physician? Back in my day it was 4 + 4 then you got to begin a nightmarish residency, akin to slavery. Let me guess now they give you time off for good behavior? LOL

Concerts :) The Golden Bear in Huntington Beach. They'd feed some of the local kids PB&J and you could watch the bands setup, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Papa John Creach but it wasn't a real concert so does that count?
That's "Papa" John ;).

Van Halen, 1984 album in 84 or 85 in LA. It was a great show and we were stoned off our ass all day so I don't remember much. We scored 6 split seat tickets early, then partied with different peeps in the parking lot(both days actually), couldn't get any tickets the first day. And we followed some girls to pick up some smoke and we made out with them. We scalped 4 of the tickets later when they sold out the last few seats and the profit paid for the whole weekend. We basically drank all morning and I puked before the show even started. And just smoked the rest of the night. I was kinda sobered up enough for the drive back to the base MCAS El Toro in Santa Ana, county stopped us just outside the gate. He was cool tho, made us park outside the gate and the MPs let us through to walk to our barracks. The same weekend, some guys we partied and worked with got nailed with some shake in the car. That got back to our senior officers and we all got piss tested the next week. We were sweating it bad! They pegged one of the guys who caused the whole mess and he got busted out of the Corps. They must not have tested me and my friends samples, I am sure we woulda got popped. Anyway. Had a good time.
Nice, I seen them play a few times before their 1st album was released at the Starwood and Whiskey Clubs in Hollywood when Eddie played A black flying V guitar and I seen them at
at the Pasadena Exhibit Hall for $2.50 and I still have the rare flyers for that "dance show".
Eddie played an explorer guitar. 1978.

I agree. They blast so much Classic Rock over the radio around here I'm just kinda burnt out on all of the older popular stuff. Like Zep Aerosmith even Metallica and many of those other bands you named. Last decade I've even become interested in some of the "upbeat" country pop like Sugarland. Also Limp Biz, Korn some others. But I agree that I don't wanna see a buncha 70+ year old rockers in concert.

Yeah they call them Dinosaur Rockers lol.
Did you catch that doc about Quiet Riot?
All about Banali trying to find a singer. Anyways, it showed a little from some of their newer gigs. They sound like shit. Sorry Frankie, it's over. You'll never replace DuBrow.
