Just bought my first bho equipment

good clean extraction of high thc product, then evap the butane, hit the magic temp (it differs a bit strain to strain)

also, look into winterization, I can't say much more than that, as I don't do it.... i use a coffee mug warmer and infrared thermometer, my sage n sour oil likes to hit about 140ish during purge to get a nice clear amber oil that hardens n shatters... most my oil isn't so handy, stays clear n gooey... thats a temp issue...

look into winterizing, get some 190proof everclear, or similar.......

So I should be getting temp close to 140 I've been researching wintering but thanks I swear I'm not a dummy

depends on how much oil, some places leave it in there for 4 to 5 days. The most common answer is when you can flip it and let it get up to temp and it is not reacting to the vacuum, bubbling and boiling off butane.
 
how do u make the diff. types from the point of initial purge? I only want shatter, works better in my g pen, and my rig, but haven't the knowledge in that last step refining down....
 
Please be careful. Open blasting is terrifying. I've done it thousands of times and still can't believe I'm still here to talk about it.

Iv been doing if for close to five years, with a little common sense it's really not that terrifying....but you should go buy a cls asap lol

I agree that common sense takes you a long way, but the nature of the exercise does not lend itself to safety at all. One spark is all it takes -- I have too much to lose to take a risk like that on a regular basis. Not judging, just saying. I don't make oil much at all anymore, but if I was still doing quantity I would definitely have a CLS, no question about that.
 
Open is definitely more dangerous.. The process that I go through to open blast is extensive.. Dewaxing can be a pain.

Iv literally smoked a cigarette right next to a pool of butane, no explosion, just sayn...even tho that is obvioulsy a bad idea and I'm not saying do it but.don't buy the hype
 
That's just it for me it is a process have to be careful and follow every step as if it's your last. And once I figure out the chemistry of this I WILL look into cls with a return system guys understand, I'm no newbie I know how dangerous this can be
