I was doing foliage feed but now that's it's budding and I don't have too much airflow i don't want any molding or anothing. I just added some nutes. Doing a switch to late flower nutes tomoro. I've been adding just plain water with some terminator only to keep water level in between nutrient changes.
Hey man, I'm following your grow and as a complete noob, trying to take in as much of the advice people give you to eventually help me when I get going.

I want to ask you about this idea of adding water to a DWC res'. Why do people add water instead of nute solution? The reason I ask is, if you decide what nute concentration you want to have in there and then top up with water, from the moment you start topping up, your PPM (concentration) must be dropping right? So how come you (and I think many other growers too) choose to add water instead of the same solution you started out with? Just curious man, hope you don't mind my asking.

Good luck with your setup. Looks like you're putting lots of work into it and I'm sure it'll come good for you!

Well the plant drink a lot of water and not neccesary a lot of nutes. I've tried to top off with equal strength nutrient and the ppm goes up to high. I'm now adding a light nutrient mix halfway into each week and water other than that. When I geg my sustem going it'll be much easier to maintain.

I ordered one of these for each flower room. I've had the power go out several times since I started and from the specs on this thing should be able to run my pumps and just enough light to keep them alive for several hours maybe a full day.

Hey guys I think I'm designating this shelf to my future mother plants. Plan to only keep each mother for a few months then start a new one from clone, so they won't ever be too big I only need around 10 clones a month or so. What type of growing system should I use for these plants. They'll be on that skinny shelf in the pic. The lights on hangers above. I was thinking a wick system but idk. Maybe soil but I know nothing about growing in soil. Whatcha think?

So I pulled out the blue lab tester I got and tested the water and it was around 5.0. My last ph pen was a dud I knew it. Anyone think that is enough to lock out the cal/mag causing my cal deff? She's doing good tho slowly readjust ph back to 5.8. Not really packin on the weight at much. She sorta had 2 growth spurts so far waiting for the next. Bought some gen hydropinics calimagi and going to start using that. I just trimmed a few leaves and opened her up some.

She seems to be happier and gettin fatter since getting the new ph meter. This cheese stinks like no smell I could imagine. So dam strong and delicious. Squeezing some of these buds I can feel just how dense they are filling in. Gonna be great nugs. :)

Finally got all the parts for the systems. There's a 3/4" barb that threads into the 3/4" ball valve which will be connected to pump and pumped into the res just outta picture.

Take a guess at the final dried trimmed cured bud amount.
Have you tested it out yet? How long will it run things?
no not quite. I'm going to soon. It says it'll runn 1300 watts I beleive for up to 6 hours. So I think it'll run the 4 lights and air pumps at least for that long. Maybe longer. I'll let you know. I just had to rig her up in the 8 gallon bucket cause she was so root bound. I put her Into my other 4x4 tent that has 3 lights( waiting on 4th back ordered) and 6" Exaust. I'll get to see if that keeps the temps better while I clean out and finish setting up my other tent.

Got one system going and it works great. Without air stones I can see the oxygen in the water. I messed up my lights again they got some extra dark time last night. But fixed the timer now. She looks fatter again:)

A small tip. Put only one light on the back up ups and you get no dark a lot longer when the power goes out. You don't need much.
.02 looks f'n rad

Thanks I planned on it. I want to see how long it'll run it all first. Then if I have a power outage I can run up and flip off a few lights.

I could run just one rw150 off each ups but then I would need two timers and have them run the same. Wires would be all over the place im too ocd for that lol. I've never has power go out for more than 2 hours. It would be cool to not have a single interruption or less light during a power loss. I'm having a lot more fun wih this now that I've figured so much and learned so much. Both tents have 6" Exaust now and are staying at 72 degrees:)
