I know the Exaust on the tent needs to be bigger than intake so there's negative pressure keeping the smell from leaking. I have no intake on tents Exaust does both. never mind the question I have 2 different size fans I can play around with to see what works. It's not more complicated than it needs to be it's very simple. It's just me trying to describe it. The rooms I have are so tiny couldn't fit them both in the same room if I wanted to and venting out those windows would be the most obvious to my neighboors during winter. I have to have an Exaust on each tent to keep te hot air from the lights recirculating and I'm adding an Exaust and intake to the entire 2 room area which is plasticed off right at the top of the stairs on my second floor. This intake will only be for the winter when i close my ac vents. So I think I'm going to make that 4" and the Exaust 6". I prob overthink things but I hate to redo them. Thanks for tryin. Hers a pic of my setup. The dark bold lines are the area sealed off that I will need to keep the right temp. I've redone things several times so before I do it this time just trying to get and tips.

basically my thoughts on the Exaust and Intake from outside are im only using the intake during the winter. And if my exausts bigger than the intake than I might be pulling too much hot air out and it might get too cold. But I could always use fan soeed controller or timer. I know im overthinking. But that's seemed to get me to a much better grow setup than I started withZ

Thanks for your replies ballist. I do tend to overthink. But I have a heat issue because this is upstairs under a tin roof with no attic space. So the ventallation is one of my main concerns. I've added an extra ac vent up there, sealed one downstairs, insulated and plasticed windows
And got all LED lights. Still runnin a bit hot. adding the 6" Exaust now.

I thought I read somewhere is your thread you had 330 sqf to play with? If it was me, I would put the veg tent upstairs and flower downstairs, but in all honesty I would try and avoid using upstairs. Do you have any target yields in mind? It will pay in the long run to try and keep it simple. Lower the power on veg, you only need around a third of the light for veg. Tin roof, out they get hot in summer during 40c day. I'm originally from west oz so I know hot weather and tin roofs :)

I have to keep everything upstairs for reasons. And my target yeild for 4 plants is one pound to start. Hope to get to 1 1/2 later on. I will have half the power in veg than flower but at the flip of a switch can have the same if I decide to flower both at once. I've tried as hard as I could to simplify things but here's what I just finished rigging up. The bold outline is the sealed off area needing temperature controlled. 4" exausts in either tent with no bends or curves exhausting out of grow area. 6" intake from ouside on a timer once an hour during the winter. Summer I will flip this one reversed blowing hot air outside while my home ac keeps it cool. I may paint my roof with that thick white roof insulator paint this summer. Whew so many thoughts and I hope this one works good.

Don't shoot for yield amounts and you won't be disappointed, just focus on making high quality buds and the yield will follow :)

Good idea. Yea I'm just trying to make the best buds possible for now. Can tell I'm not just goin for yeild with my one plant under 4 lights lol. I peeked in there with my green light (their sleeping) and the buds bout doubled in size from yesterday :) can't wait till the lights come on
 
Still not finished and I keep changing my mind lol but I think this is it. The plastic wall will be insulated and have a zipper doorway. The two rooms exaust outside of the sealed off grow section of the house. The 6" fan is the intake for summer and draws air from downstairs. The 4" fan is the winter Intake to draw cold air in from outside. Whatcha think? The two 4" fans, one pulling air through either grow tent are enough to create a vaccum on this plastic wall. I think my temps will be good now. Just gotta clean up the wiring and some other things.

Your ventilation would work better is the 4" fans were inside the tent attached to the filter. these fans are much better at blowing than pulling air. It would also be neater.

Oh I thought I read somewhere that inline fans are more efficient at pulling air through 10' of duct vs pushing through 10' of duct. I can hang inside the tent or at leat right next to the tent like the veg tent one is. But the two outside the plastic wall... I can blow cold air in from outside and blow hot air downstairs to help keep first floor warm. Then flip both fans for summer, pull cool air from downstairs up and exaust hot air out the window. I think this is it. Only thing that might help I this is upgrading the flower tent to a 6" fan instead of the 4".

Well only one way to find these things out. I tried what you said and it does seem to be blowing harder, not by much. I would hate to have to get another 6" fan. I might try to change the duct to rigid and see if that helps. I feel like my upstairs will be cooler in the summer even with the tin roof right above it cause the windows are all insulated and ac will be pumping into both rooms. Since its winter there no way to get any cool air in there besides the 4" intake from outside which is basically hooked right up to the flower tent intake. If you can understand my setup more now from the pics I posted and this was the only setup option you had(couldn't move the tents) what would you do at this point?
 
Sittin at 85 degrees right now. Once I get my zippers for the door it won't be pulling the tent exausted air back into the grow rooms. i think once I get that and insulate the plastic wal some I should be back down to 82. Man she is starting to really get budding now. Halfway through week 3 or so.

So for now I took your advice ballist and cleared out my closet downstairs to put my veg tent in. The 12 hours of light during the night upstairs in the flower tent should be no problem.

Can anyone give me any tips on how they would set up a perpetual grow with my setup. Which route would you choose to get the most crops per year with the most yeild. 1 2x4 tent on first floor for mothers/clones/seedlings. Two 4x4 tents upststairs for flowering or veg. The downstairs tent could have 2 t-5 fixtures which have 4 2' bulbs, I have veg and bloom bulbs. And I was thinking one rw150 for the other half of the 2x4 tent. But the lighting in this tent can be different im up for suggestions. One 4x4 tent upstairs will have 4 rw150s and 4 5 gallon buckets. The bucket amount is up for comments. The other 4x4 tent upstairs will have at least 2 rw150s and could have 4. Still deciding. My thoughts were I could run this tent on veg only setting with same 4 lights as the other tent with the ability to flip the switch to flower. I have plenty of room upstsirs for nutrients and supplies and trimming everything for harvest. Downstairs is in my closet and will have an intake from my bedroom air where I sleep and breathe out c02 each night, and have it exaust underneath my house. I have the temperature problem figured out for upstairs so I could run 2 tents no problem now. Just figured it would be easier to have my clones and mothers and higher maintance seedlings on the first floor. Less trip up. Thanks for any tips. Please do
 
Lots o' stuff. Keep it simple. A veg tent to supply 2 flowering tents staggered in rotation. Small drying tent.

Okay so I will try to use my 2x4 tent to veg 4 plants each month to send to either flower tent. Each month I should have a 4 plant harvest. And yea its a lot of stuff cause I set aside the budget to do this. I need to be able to make enough money to pay the bills and keep myself medicated for pain. I think this will work good thanks!
 
You mean the small leaves stacked tightly together with 3 leaves. Yea. I messed up te lights one night and the plant got light for 24 hours. It might be a little slow to finish.
