Seriously, imo let darwin do his thing. The only reason we have so many stupid people is the suppression of natural selection.

I would be inclined to do the same thing, if they were beyond blast range of the rest of us.

As you note, a wide pendulum swing from survival of the fittest, to every one survives and procreates, has seeming produced an amazing array of certifiable idiots, not to mention sociopaths, whom feel immortal and don't care about anyone else.

The Graywolf theory of the evolution of civilization, says that some number, say 10% of our brothers and sisters will always be taking risks with new ways of doing things, and 90% will continue with the status quo.

It is these risk takers that are responsible for inventing and the evolution of civilization in the first place, but it is the 90% that keeps it in place, after the 10% loses interests, moves on to new adventure, or gets killed.

Usually the 10% don't live as long as the 90%, because they are risk takers and get killed by accident more often, and because they scare the shit out of the 90%, are more often shot or hanged as well.

Civilization isn't 10% and 90%, it is one 100% body, and without either faction mankind is doomed.

That however is a different issue than risk takers whom endanger others lives, as well as our civil liberties, by driving a ground swell from the 90% to take everyone's civil liberties away, because of the actions of a minority of sociopaths within the 10%, which is where most of them ostensibly are.

Though I agree there is ample reason to suggest supporting their auto-genocide effort, I abhor the thought of lives wasted, so I submit it would be faster and more recycle green, as well as more humane, to just hunt them down, mercifully and discretely solidly thump their Medula, while distracting them with a lollypop, and part them out for their useable organs.

The unusable parts are of course nutrient rich, so would make valuable fertilizer to feed a rose garden honoring their sacrifice, and celebrating how much their useable organs helped the lives of those receiving them.

The only problem I see with the above assisted natural selection solution, is who is adequately informed and evolved to judge.

I know it isn't me because some people just piss me off and I have thoughts of hanging them from their testicles and beating them to death with a dead rabbit, just for the fun of it.

Like the jackasses currently leading the charge to drive the 90% off the deep end for instance.

One rotten apple ruins the whole barrel. Just too sad the rest of the barrel doesn't get to redress the bad apple for losses incurred.

Colorado is a bit too concerned with keeping everything commercial. States that allow private growers to wholesale to dispensaries seem to have the best of both worlds approach.
