Who uses molasses and see's good results? I've heard alot of good and bad

I think its a waste of time and molasses....ran it threw all my strains and didnt see any difference

How 'bout smell any difference?
I ran molasses on a Blue Dream soil grow and when a friend smelt
the end product she said mmm I smell molasses and
I said back that's funny cause I used molasses in the grow!
I then took a sniff and sure enough I got a very light unmistakable
whiff of molasses mixed with the Blue Dream smell and no taste of it.
I also ran molasses on other strains and did not
get the same result.
Blue Dream never ceases to surprise in so many ways
it's mind boggling! My newest amazement came when I reveged
to blue dreams and no twisty and 1 finger messed up leaves at all
came out, only perfect sets of leaves.

I agree, honey is freaking awesome, but I would never waste it on my plants. I use molasses because it is dirt cheap and available at any grocery store. I have purchased the molasses that is "special for horticultural use" and I don't see any difference between that and Grandma's from the grocery store. As long as it is pure blackstrap molasses you should be in good shape. Oh and if you are using a self watering pot like an earthbox go easy on the molasses. It can start to ferment in your res and cause a gnarly smell. Good Luck Dudes.

You think glucose is better for pre flush then dextrose is or did you just use it because it was cheaper ?

Honey works well in flush but you can get a white foam and funny smell start to develop in your run off

all sugars get broken down into carbs like honey etc...but gluvose is allready broken down into carbs i think im really rarther stoned at the moment lol ....i may be slightly wrong.

i do know all the extra good stuff in molasis should be already in your soil exept the carbs......thats why i bought just the carbs ....glucose c

Depends on how you grow.

I run Happy Frog and the bennies and living thingers in the soil love a little molasses.

I guess I use molasses differently.

Molasses is simply an "activator" for me, a little sprinkle of dry granule molasses with my myco/bacteria inoculants for clones, in coco or soil when doing a transplant. Sugars are not exactly the prefered food for fungi.

I would a little bit when brewing a AACT tea, If I was going for a bacterial dominant tea.

I'll also use it to activate a beneficial like Bacillius T. or Spinosad. I'll let it sit for a bit in solution mix in a little a molasses.

Yes but if a grower needs potassium from molasses then they unquestionably need to review their base nutrients.

Like I said, I only use it to feed bennies. It is however full of good stuff in general. There are plenty of negatives involved when used irresponsibly, which can be applied to most anything.

I would have to verify with a microscope in a wet mount slide. I'll post info if I do get around to doing it.

BT aka "Gnatrol" comes in a powder, since I have to mix with water, and I know that bacteria and sugars like molasses, I'll give it something to feed on. I only have anecdoal evidence that activating it with molasses is effective.

I dont know much about cabbage loopers.. I also have spinosad, and that seems to kill a wider range vs BT.

I used Safer Brand Caterpillar Killer. Seemed to have the highest ppm of bacteria I could buy. It was a liquid, not a powder.

Hope I never see another caterpillar again to have to find out, though, lol.
