As long as you do weekly res changes you SHOULD be ok but lots of variables for me.to guarantee
and dont go over the spoon per gallon

ive exp bad reactions in my rez but couldnt pinpoint it to molasses I had a bunch of shit in there lol

I use it with every watering. What bad have you heard?
I've seen a few people online claim it can cause a weird sap problem and root rot. so far I've been using a spoon full/gallon watering once a week but ill try upping it to every other watering now and see how it goes

And as long as you stay on top of things most probs can usually be stopped before doing any real damage

I think the main point of molasses was just old school growers simple way off add simple sugar and carbs during the last few weeks of flower as opposed to using stonger less tasty nutes that they had back in the day

today there are better (although more expensive) stuff out there

botanicare sweet is an example along with adv nutes bud candy

just my 2

I have used molasses for years. Only in small amounts in veg and up to 1 tsp. per gal. during flower. I have not had any problems at all and it is needed for feeding your microbes that live in your soil. I am a big fan of organic growing and thats why I use it. I have no idea if it actually helps the plant itself. I do like my results though.

I use molasses, normally once I take a plant out of my flower flood and drain as I don`t like to add too many carbs to my res

I use molasses along with pk and water for 1 to 4 weeks then flush with just water for anything from 1 day to 2 weeks depends on how the bud seems, I normally give just molasses for anything from 1 to 4 weeks 1 to 2 weeks seems to work best

But I`ve started to try using dextrose powder instead as it`s cheaper, easier to mix up and less sticky lol

Going to have to compare the 2 at some point and decided what one tastes better

I`d think that the dextrose bud should be a bit more sugary but may have a bit less taste ?

Sir/Lady Meowington aint no dummy, he/she knows where the warmth is;)

It also knows how to bring pests in with it!

I've used molasses in the past and like DIABOLICAL I saw no improvement.

However I use synthetic NUTES so microbes aren't necessarily in my thought process.

Molasses helps when brewing tea for your plants.

It helps the microbes as stated.

Too much can cause issues with N uptake.

Molasses has even been used in some areas to hinder growth of pest plants because of the N issue I mentioned.

At your levels though it wouldn't cause that issue.

It's great in coffee, spread on toast Etc.

If it's unsulphered blackstrap molasses it adds cal and mg as well as many many trace nutrients.

It's a by product of refining sugar so it's all the good stuff from sugar cane with relatively low amounts of sugar in it. The microbeasties love it and I haven't found anything else that can be used as a good substitute. Not to say that there aren't other perfectly good sources for microbe food, I would just look toward a wheat product or something similar rather than something sugary.

I used brer rabbit for a few weeks and noticed nothing, then I realized it wasn't blackstrap but some sugared up version. I've switched to plantation blackstrap unsulphered and the results are very noticeable to me.

I only use it in AACT with EWC and nothing else and feed every other watering, just the way I use it tho. Perfectly fine just adding to water and shaking.

I'm not a guru on the shit, it's just my understanding of what I've been reading.

You think glucose is better for pre flush then dextrose is or did you just use it because it was cheaper ?

Honey works well in flush but you can get a white foam and funny smell start to develop in your run off
