Interesting numbers, 12,000 of 40,000 registered "clients", wonder where the rest are getting their meds, perhaps it's so expensive that the 12,000 are the only one's who can afford the Harper program.

Let's run some sample numbers for investors looking to cash in on these sick people:
12,417 patients x say average of $300/month = $3,725,100.00
x12 months = $44,701,200.00
% 22 Producers = $2,031,872.73 yearly sales per producer

Those producers better be extremely efficient and pulling 2 gpw with no waste, mould issues or the like. Then maybe they'd make a few hundred dollars per year. Pretty sure I'll make more selling it at $100/oz to med patients. That's a market I'd invest into... if I had money to throw away.

I came across this info on a Twitter feed so take with a grain of salt. Apparently these numbers were given by Dr. Hanan Abramovici during a recent conference in Quebec on or around September 30th, 2014.

-22 Licensed Producers
-12,417 "clients"
-805 signing doctors
-1 signing nurse practitioner

Link to original Twitter feed. https://twitter.com/adam_greenblatt/status/530732773523615745
So 12,417 clients, any the other 30000+ mmj users don't use lp's that's awesome news.

well that isn't really surprising, many of those "40,000" initial users are not a target market for LP's, they are MMAR growers that will most likely continue to grow after the February court case... the 12,000+ are new patients using only LP's and there are plenty of them out there, just need docs to get on with the system

Since harper is so "transparent", you'd think this information would be readily available ;)

I've wondered about this too. They never seem to say how they obtain these stats.

I'm 99% sure they are inflated, the gov can make up any thing they want and just say we're just compiling the stats the LP's give us. This works into each person signing up for different LP's being counted as a unique number.

How many of the 12000 are former prairie plant systems customers who never had the right to grow?
As far as I know you had to apply and make sure all your ducks were in a row in order to be able to grow. Not just pps patients that missed that boat.

Hopefully in February we can all grow.. It saddens me to think that people who need cannabis to get up in the morning may not be able to afford the quality of life that they deserve. I'm relatively happy with my lp.. But they aren't for everyone. Let's hope for a favourable outcome.

Point being those 12000 clients using lp's are in fact not all new patients. Someone suggested that was the case.

Rumour is, those numbers are inflated. Health Canada isn't approving because there aren't really more than a few thousand patients. Basically, by the end of the year it will be just Tweed, Tilray, Bedrocan and Mettrum, everyone else will have their license pulled for an 'infraction'. This is all by design. Why do you think Chuck got fired?

The only thing I like about hc is their dedication to riding lp's and holding them to impossible standards. And the fact they are sliting their own neck by impairing patient access is he icing on the cake.

Yes sir.
It's what happens when you dive into something you have zero idea about. That's our PM.
He started something he thought would put him on top and instead. :) I hope It puts an end to his metal state.

Chuck got fired for general incompetence and an inability to deliver results.
