Obama has done squat on the marijuana front, he should be ashamed...such a hypocrite.
HUH, wasn't for Obama weed would not be legally sold to all adults in 2 states right now..any other president would had sued and tied the issue up in the courts. Weed is federally illegal still, its just the feds decided not to sue to stop legal weed sales. Obama is the best thing to happen to weed, what should he do, smoke weed in the WH and get thrown out of office ?

All I can say is canada needed Harper. The pendulum of public opinion might not have swung as far as it has without him. Not just on pot but the environmental deregulation and many other serious issues. How many people with out cable/sat can't watch hockey now either?
Yeah OK but now Harper is doing more harm then good. I'm not for lots of lefty wing stuff, gay rights, green power but then I feel the lefties care more about me, so I always vote for them

He should legalize it and stop being a hypocrite.
He smoked (smokes) weed, if he was caught and arrested he would not be the president.
He continues to harass medical states.
He only "allows" mj in the two states that voted for it because it is a political hot potato.

Obama can't legalize weed, only congress can do that and they refuse to do so, thats OK because the Fed is now looking the other way, what will happen come 2017 when a different president takes over, who knows, thats why the more states that become legal the better. Hopefully 2 more states will have legal weed sales going by then.

Personally I still like the guy, he isn't perfect but hes much better then GWB and I like him even more then Clinton...Bill was alright until he could not keep his pants on in the WH and then he tried wimping out and lying about it instead facing the truth like a man and just say its a personal matter between him and his wife...no, Bill acted like a school boy with Monica and then again when caught, he hurt his party so much, we might have gotten Al Gore vs GWB back in 2000....I can never forgive Clinton for that

I think Obama just doesn't want to hurt his party. Hes already said he feels Marijuana isn't any more dangerous then alcohol. If the DEA is in fact dong more raids, well there is way more places that are now in the marijuana business. It goes up every year so yeah, the number if raids would go up as well. I don't see the DEA shutting down the compassion club up in Flint Michigan, I have a hard time believing that Romney dude would had let that go on and same with legal weed sales to all adults in those 2 other states.

The compassion club is kind of like the vapor lounge in Toronto expect they got around 30 or so sellers of weed and U have to be medical to even walk through the door. Once inside its kind of the same, U can medicate-that means smoke pot inside--listen to the tunes and just chill out and no worries about running out of bud, there are half brunt roaches-make that joints- people just leave laying around, the sellers give out free samples and all charge just $200 an OZ or less for the buds..my last trip I was getting 1.8 grams for $10 a gram--everything is oversize, people are stone and in a good mood and there is more bud around there then I ever seen in my life. Table after table has at least a pound of bud for sale and thats just what I see on the surface.

Michigan has had MM for only 6 years, 2008 and it took a bit before it took off, today Michian is freaken great, I went to some high times event last July, like 25% of the thousands of people there look to be under 30 and healthy on the surface..we got MM for even PTSD......some dude tried to rape U, some dude beat your ass up, anything that causes major grief in your life can trigger PTSD..it only takes time and money to see doctors and get qualified. I had a lady doctor at a MM clinic tell me that a headache everyday that won't go away for over 3 months is enough to qualify U, all one needs is medical records to back it up.

From what Ive read it was growers in Cali growing from sick kids out of state. Minnesota or something. Anyways the raids were because they were shipping it places it wasn't legal and supplying minors. Such a shame. Hope these kids get help closer to home.

I'm just scared that asshole supreme could be our PM for another eternity. Can he run again ?
Unfortunately from what I read in a previous thread, yes, he just has to run and get elected in his riding of choice. I had always thought we had a limit on terms like the US (2 consecutive terms I believe) but apparently not #$!@

He doesn't need to get elected in his riding of choice. If he ran and lost his riding he can replace another conservative in any riding. No limits for how long PMs can run...

There is no set terms for PMs in Canada. We've had PMs that have held power for 10+ years (close to 20 years in some cases). Elections must be held at least once every 5 years though, sometimes they are sooner depending on politics. That is why it is important people vote this clown out next year or we could be stuck with him for a LOT longer. I definitely don't want to see a 20 year Harper reign.
