Ya ....What's your thought process that they had a reason to send 2 jumbo jets into the side of skyscraper's...or a seperate group all together goes around lopping off heads and people should be more worried about cig's and that other garbage..Just because its a fraction of a percent? It's only a fraction of a percent because people Do not just shriek at these group's....As for reason's to hate the west these people hate themselves of course they have a reason to hate everybody else

I don't condone what they did..... just the same as I don't condone us slaughtering them on a daily basis. If your family was killed by a missle from a foreign country I'm sure you'd harbor some resentment too. America kills more Muslims in one day than they will kill Americans in the next 100 years.
And yes, if you chose to be honest with yourself, you stand a much better chance of dying from a shitty lifestyle (or being trampled by a herd of buffalo) than you do at the hands of some crazed jihadist.
I mostly blame religion. If people didn't believe in the sky fairy, and all of the complete bullshit that comes with it most of this would never happen. Bat shit crazy

Couldn't agree more. Plus beheadings are simply propaganda tools for recruitment, and to rile up America into fighting with them. I feel for the journalist who've lost their lives but they were aware of the occupational hazard they faced reporting in a conflict zone. And is beheading any worse than being shot? An individual is dead either way. One is simply more barbaric and for shock value.
We've killed more innocent people in a decade overseas than any extremist could ever dream of.

How about we shutter the military bases all over the middle east, pull all troops out of that region, quit meddling in their affairs and see what happens? Do you not feel that this (at least in part) contributes to the hatred that they feel towards us? Seriously, how would you feel about China if they set up military bases all over America and indiscriminately dropped bombs on us? Would you feel driven to retaliate, or would you just say "okee dokey"??

I'm hardly an apologist for Muslim extremist, or any religious fanaticism. And this isn't third grade making an apology for breaking a toy. I don't have the answers, to be honest I don't think anyone does. I do think this issue has been building for decades, spanning multiple administrations. One thing I would recommend is to stop exploiting the middle east for our own reasons, to stop propping up regimes and dictators, and to aid at the request (REQUEST) of partners in the region.

Knowing why something happens helps to prevent it from happening again. Dropping bombs on them is assuring it will happen again. I'm sure many people felt the same way when Hitler was doing his thing ..... but the world didn't stop spinning.
