So when you say 5 Liter hempy...does this mean the bottom of the pot is sealed and you poked a hole like a couple of inches above the bottom as an overflow?

yep they have a hole 2inches from the bottom so something like a 750ml res

This answered my previous question. Are you letting them just drain onto the floor or how do you handle that?

yeah mate just shredded up rockwool exactly. These are in 12 litre buckets but you can see that it sunk a bit should have filled it right up packed. the roots on these plants are stupid mad. pencil sized hole 2 inches from the bottom as overflow I been watering every 2 days now they thirsty

Do you typically start them off in their final pot like this? Some people say not to do it but I have no idea. I would think the fewer transplants the better...none being best.

yeah I have this time out both in the 5 litre and 12 litre, it does take a while to put their roots down but they get going quick when they do so I think it sort of evens out somewhat but with no transplant stress, just have to water every day until roots hit the res (couple weeks)

having said that I think a graduation in pot size for soil is fine

Just bought some Carolina Reaper HP22B chili seeds(tested at up to2.2 mill schofield units), cant wait The sole purple pheno Critical Haze getting some colour now...............................................................
