Nah...I believe there is a time to pass the buck...If that was the case then no Rep. deserve's to be Pres after the shutdown because that's all they did and vice verse .....Seem's more like typical Politic's? And where left to cypher through it

Why should wealthy people pay a higher percent, when even at the same percentage as a middle class person they would pay hundreds, possibly thousands of times more $$$ overall anyways?

Why do wealthy people deserve to be penalised just cos they have/make more money than someone else?

I propose everyone pays the exact same percentage, with no deductions.

Call it a citizenship retention tax and it combined with a sales/consumption tax and corporate tax receipts has to cover everything the nation could need.

No moar deficits, and the dollar would arguably shoot up in value (which would help considering you're net importers).

The moral foundation for progressive taxes was- and remains- that no wealthy person ever does it all by themselves. Therefore, they owe the nation who helped them in endless ways the bulk of 'their' fortune, to be used to continue to make that nation a great place for everyone to prosper.

THIS is the contract that Greedheads on both sides of the political aisle have chosen to ignore, and everyone suffers, even the rich.

The people rely on too many circuses and bread lines which combined with the spending needed to maintain our military, means we have to tax more and more. How will the deficit ever be paid for? How long can we put off the inevitable before the entire future is consumed?

If the dollar shot up in value it would make our products and commoditys more expensive. How would that help our trade imbalance?

Explain how Romney would be bad for the middle class. Give a real example instead of some vague Democratic talking point designed to tell the country's fail class how their failures are somebody else's fault. I should pay more? I already pay more than you. YOU should pay as much as I do. The "shutdown" wasn't really a complete shut down. Hundreds of funding bills passed the House, but Harry Reid illegally "vetoed" them. So the "shutdown" was caused by Democrats as much as Republicans. But you already know that. You're just repeating the false talking points of the Democratic machine.

How is this claim somehow a "contract"? You owe me your life's earnings. all your possessions, and anything else you have I might want. That's a "contract", too. If "the nation" helped them in so many ways, why isn't everyone rich?
