Your prescription packaging (to the best of my knowledge) is what counts as the prescription.

With the government changing things - they have really made it more difficult. A lot of people knew about the old ATP cards and they knew they were legitimate.

I plan on telling people. I called the airline, I will call the airpot where I am landing. I am also going to call the hotel(s) that I am staying at.

The Conservative government changed ALL the rules, and then didn't tell anyone about it. I don't even think all the police know.

Well - someone has to provide them the information. And the Conservs don't want to.

Thats a doozy, just knowing that when you get searched there automatically going to think your breaking the law then having to convince/educate them that your being honest, truthful and law abiding. Atleast in Toronto its more along the lines of guilty until proven inocent...they love to just throw you infront of a judge.

I stayed out of prison in Mexico after smoking weed inadvertently in front of the Mexican police - who had semi-automatic weapons on them. I can handle Canadian police I think.

Plus - I'm not a dick about it. I haven't changed anything about the way I use marijuana after I got a prescription. I don't flaunt it. I don't smoke joints on my front lawn so all my cute elderly neighbours can see and be made to feel uncomfortable.

I talk about it. A LOT.

And I order MMJ online now.

But that's all that's changed for me. It's like a weird safety-blanket.

Sadly and unfortunately, the best policy is to, Shut The Fuck Up!
If they find that you are legal. Plan on being detained. Plan on going to court even.
So again, best to just keep quiet and say nothing.
Same old same old.

ahhh blah don't bother telling no one, why? they don't know and don't care. If you want to be an activist ..... wait till someone tries burning ya then ya have a news story worth the actual news.

just like normal medication ...... you don't go around tell the clerk at the 7-11? well maybe you do but most don't.

I didn't tell anyone about pills I took so why do they need to know the MMJ in my suitcase/carryon, travelled this year with metal pipe baggie full of weed.... all in small carryon ... I could see it in the xray scanner ... they only worried about scissors in the other bag?!?!?!? which turned out ok cause they weren't longer than the girls fingers.
everyone needs to start treating it like actual medication when doing stuff..... if ya need it take it.... if you travel so what??

That's just the way I do things. I would MUCH rather tell someone ahead of time - and make THEM more comfortable with the situation. I don't think it's their fault they don't know about it. They just never learned.

I don't HAVE to hide - and I won't.

I also don't want to be "made an example of". I have been to court, and I fucking hated it. I'd like to never have to go back.

why do you carry so much fear ... it's sad. Your legal it would never even go to a charge. just bring your shipment paperwork too. Why as a night manager/clerk to a hotel give a crap that you use MMJ, because as of mostly all hotels now you can't even get smoking rooms anymore so you would smoke outside (word to wise get a room on the first floor they sometimes have another room door to the outside) anyway. But imagine yaking to a hotel clerk and then not knowing you said it to a wrong person/someone overhearing...... they rip ya off. I would rather have a fun convo with a police officer, smiling as they hand back your meds!

Probably telling them is more your issue than "making them comfortable" they don't know you they are working they don't care about you blah.... but do what you want it's yer life to live in fear over being legal

Thanks for posting Yessica, if this is their official platform/policy and they push it as an election platform/issue I'll be voting for them and $upporting them. I wouldn't be concerned about the details until it gets to that stage. I'm sure they wouldn't be stupid enough to follow Harper's lead and put a program in place with no end user/med patient consultation/allowances. As-is, it's Nirvana compared to today's ridiculous and backward laws.

you mentioned that one guy said..... it could be like calling someone for a product on the phone..... they said!?!?!? I could?!?!?! LOL it needs to be said at a large party meeting with the head honcho's saying it or there to confirm it, otherwise it's just sitting on the back burner to pullout when they need some more votes. So that being said they never have to use it if they don't need those votes. The political system is broken like the mmpr

Ask them to give you a reference...if you notice on all their policies they have the dates, details etc...Don't just take their word, lets see it in writing. Not being a ball breaker, but lets just be sure on this one.

Don't worry - I need my balls broken every now and again. I fully plan on asking, and getting confirmation.

I also asked the Green party (the MP for Thunder Bay) what their policy is going to be. I am waiting to hear back.

I will back whichever of those 2 parties has the best plan.

I think, the liberals have the best chance - because they have a lot of money.

But - the Green Party just actually seems to care. And Elizabeth May sounds like the smartest fuckin person ever.

I'm on the fence. So I'm going to find OUT more.

Basically - I am backing NOT THE CONSERVATIVES.

The Greens will never get elected, so although they might be the "best choice" I view them as a wasted vote. That's why I don't vote for who I want, the Libertarian Party.
I was a big May fan, but she really dropped the ball with the last election imo.
