The CCIC and most notably Bedrocan are pushing for insurance coverage. There is coverage in Holland where Bedrocan is from. I believe PPS is also pushing this effort. Coverage without a DIN is a challenge.I'm a lover not a fighter...no good...
I didn't think MMJ was covered by ANY insurance companies? Am I wrong?
In your case you are not getting your other meds covered, so you're not "poor" enough for govt assistance even if there was some coverage program. It's hard to envision the Govt ever offering coverage for mmj, just imagine how many would "sign up". Very expensive proposal.
Private insurance is a different story. When the cost of paying for mmj is substantially lower than other pain meds, and there is a clear savings for said company I think you will see coverage happening more than it is now.
Yes there is some coverage from insurance companies now. You won't read about it, but it is happening to a limited degree. Auto insurance claims seem to be somewhat leaders here. I'm guessing 2-3 years and it will be common place.
