thats exaclty what i was thinking about putting a fan in front of my intake to push air into the room. no the hps is not installed yet. i ordered a darkroom louver and shipping was delayed due to passover. so it should be here any day. once i get my intake i plan on firing up the 400 and see what it does. thanks for the kind words...hopefully soon they will be booming..

Switched To My New Soil Mix Yesterday And Ever Since My Humidy Has Gone Up And Its Smells Like A Strong Soil Whenever I Open The Grow Door, Is This Normal? I Knew The Plants Would Smell, But Not The Soil...lol..Its a strong organic mix...i use potting soil, blood meal, bone meal...w/ a lil pertalite..

lol, they seem fine to me, this is like day 18 from seed....i'm in no hurry, i'm sure they will be fine...thanks for the advice...

lol...its like a strong musty smell....can tell its fresh soil...i think it may be the stuff i added to it...but the plants are lovin it...so who cares...more pics soon

well guys the babies are 3 weeks old today...keep in mind this is 3 weeks since they were planted, not sprouted...the plants seem to be loving there new soil mix, although i cant get the soil dry...wanting to give them there 2nd feeding but the soil is still a bit moist. will let it dry out again today and see how it is tomorrow. here are some pics...let me know what u think...

thanks for the postive word guys...here is pics of the babies at 24 days, day #2 of the 400wt hps....they seem to really be takin off...any comment welcoms...also since i have put in the new 400 my humidty is real low like 30-40%, do i need to raise my humidity for veg or is it alright if the humidity is low. thanks

ty, actually it is a bedroom closet that i enclosed and cut a hole in another closet for a seperate entracne...if you look at my first post you migh be able to understand it more...pretty stealth i thought...i was proud of myself for coming up with the idea...lol...although i have no construction skills...does anyone one here no anything about darkroom louvers? i just installed mine and do not know if i have it on the correct way...would the room have to be completly sealed for me to know if it is working? if anyone knows, please let me know. the other problem i have is the gap between the 2 pieces of drywall...my louver is about a inch deep and the hole in my wall is like 5-6 inches deep..any ideas on how i could extend the louver?

is there anyway i can make my intake more powerful, i have a fan blowing into the intake from the other room but it still does not seem like enough. my temps have been around 85 the last couple days and i need to get them down. i do not have an air cooled hood yet but i plan on getting one soon..would it work if i got an inline duct booster and stuck it in my intake hole, maybe one of the more powerful ones? please let me know. thanks

does anyone know if a fan like this will help my intake vent...was thinking of putting it in my grow room to pull air through the intake...i already have a 170cfm fan but its pulling through a carbon filter..temps range from 80-85 with lights on...around 75-78 with lights off..

if u make a mix of 5cups sugar and a couple spoons of active yeast in a gallon of water u can brew co2 (look in grow faq for specifics) with a lot of co2, which that gallon will create plenty in that space for a few weeks, you will need the higher temperature to put it all to use.

so this fan will not work? i was going to use a bicycle pump c02 cartridge..so ur saying if i use c02 the temps wil be fine?
