I think the weakness with PE is the fact that it's been out for so long. The longer you breed a strain, the weaker it'll get. And who's to say they're even using the exact same male and female for breeding? This is why its best to get your seeds early and save them for later runs.....you'll have the dank while everyone else is saying damn!

Pinex are just available as feminized seeds so i always thought you don't have to "keep breeding" anything. Don't you just keep a mother and treat the cloned plants with chemicals to get a hermie which then produces the feminized seeds? How long can a mother plant be kept alive for?

ive been growing it for years. love it. half o per one gallon pot. cuts put straight into flower once rooted. no veg time. table of 40 cuts=20 oz. potent altho i popped a few seeds and found the best ones out the bunch to keep for moms.

Yeah but that monkey is an exception as he was not tested to the extent of a humans expected capacity. And he was most likely expected to die. That is why he was sent in a humans place. So I don't feel as bad.

I am a little curious to why you think that. I would think as long as you kept cuts of both parents alive, it wouldn't matter how long you bred them for. I wouldn't think the genetics would change over time. As for PE, I grew a free seed out and wasn't very impressed. I am not sure I should base an opinion on a single seed though, maybe I just had a bad pheno. I did get somewhat of a pineapple smell, but it was more of a bitter, rotting pineapple smell. I think I still have 3 or 4 freebee seeds laying around somewhere.

Thats exactly my point.....how do we know that its the same female being used for the breeding or the male that was originally used, if there were a male used. Fem seeds doesn't mean a male was never used because a male was almost surely used until they found a female they loved, then fem'd her. If the exact same plant/s aren't used then the results will be a little different.

honestly i think its got a bad rap becuz people didnt grow it enough times. it took 4 or 5 times for me to figure out nute strength along with the perfect flower time not to mention temps and everything else. 7.5 weeks has more of a sativa feel 8 weeks has a mixture of both and made me catch myself staring at the wall and 8.5 plus for me was devastating once it started wearing off. instant sleepy time. its a top shelf strain if grown right. also the cure has a lot to do with the smell also. if done right the flowers are amazing and the wax is even better. even mexi brick weed seeds can be fire if done correctly.

The dispensary I use threw out the original clone only version of Pineapple Express for my clones of the "keeper" I found in a 5pk. of G13labs ver. I just passed it around + didn't keep it though. @first it tastes of dank fruit, but after a few months curing it does taste like pineapple.

It doesn't yield as much as the original clone only(or the other offspring from the 5pk.)
The buds are rock hard + covered in Trich(even on fan leaves).
I asked them last time I was there if they still dispense the clones I gave them + they do.
Almost tempted to get a couple to see how they do in organic soil, when I ran it before it was in hydro.

Not since it was named PE but there had to be a male in its lineage. To get a female plant that they choose to use silver on they first had to breed until they found a perfect girl.....

The Cali clone only Pineapple Express had a male beforehand, but G13labs just took the female and made it produce male flowers to pollinate un-treated clones.

I meant G13labs never had a male.

In another forum (or was it here?) i read a long thread about fem-only seed companies like G13Labs. Basically it was a rant about the "easy approach" where all you need is one nice mother and some chemicals. More like a money making business and not a true breeding process back crossing with a selected male. Pinex seems to be such a case, i assume that somebody got lucky with one of his F1's and used it for making the feminized seeds.

I have gotten to the point lately that everything I grow ,goes at least 10 weeks. I top and 4 way LST to create multiple tops. Pulled 17 off my last grow under a 250hps/mh. 5.75 oz's of bud!! I don't know if training increases the flowering time or not. But at 10 week's everything has been at about 25% amber on the trichs. I think I've read on hear that it gets more amber during dry and curing.

The last PE grow I did, I had the 2 distinct pheno's that I have heard about. One is a little to edgy of a buzz for my liking. It is ok in low doses. But If you take in too much, you are really really high and tripping balls! They went 10 weeks under a 250 in 3 gallon pots and gave me 6 oz's. Anyone want to see their yield's increase shoud really consider training. I will never grow again without using training. The 4 way Topping combined with LST will really deliver the bud!

You sound like my dad. I gave him a bunch of it and he was up all nigh tripping balls, got too high to sleep and it scared him lol.

My parents are the same way, they can't seem to smoke real shit anymore, they tend to like the mids around here opposed to my shit, they say it gets them uncomfortably high lol.

I love the scary shit! I'm a habitual top shelf smoker so I've only had it a few times in my life. I've been clean since May 20 and will have a "blast" when I fire back up......can't wait!
