hi

title basically saids it all

need a LED that has a core coverage of 5x5 area for maximum goodness in the plant ............i would like one light if not then a set that can daisy chain so controlling is easier

currently have a 1000w hid 150k lumen output (mad buds ) but the lower leaves yellow from lack of light and if i can reduce the heat poor ac can shut off for 10 mins now and then

The biggest issue of a single light is umoles at the perimeter tend to fall off rapidly

Check out Apache Tech

BML is coming out with a SPYDR 1000 that might do the trick

My SPYDR 600 has a max 3 x 3 actual footprint and covers 4 x 4

Since it can be collapsed down to ~20 x 36 you could get 2 and have incredible buds

do u know any that can be daisy chained together ...............i can live with 4 lights to get the coverage i need (power drawl and amps will be less then the 1000W)

i just do not want to try hooking up 4 timers and matching them or getting one of those timed power strips (had one the amount of power killed the timer in 2 weeks)

You can't go wrong with AT, GreenGenes has proven that, He's an exceptional grower. AT lights simply highlight his abilities:mrgreen:

I've had great results with my first BML SPYDR 600, but you should call BM to get the answer

As to timers, just plug a multi-strip into one timer

Area 51's RW-150 can be daisy chained together, up to six units. Four RW-150's will replace a 1000W and cover a 4x4 area. So if you pushed that number up to five RW's, you could light a 5x5, the way you're looking to. I would use the same pattern that you see on dice to set up the lights, one in the center, and with one in each corner, around it.

Their is NO 260 watt led fixture that will cover MJ in 5x5 flower area ATM. A mostly "white" 6200k panel at 96lm/watt isn't going to cut it IMO.

Also 660nm is Deep red NOT far red

how do they even consider an 11 inch wide 260 watt panel to cover a 5 ft width???? that's obnoxious

the AT 600/Spydr 1000/neosol ds 520 will blow this thing away on par readings

The best you are going to do today is 12 Cree CXA3070 COBS running at 1400 ma. about 700 watts = 28 watts sq ft.

Your information is always off... you can get more than 4x4 with 4 rw-150s. Unless you set all your lights touching each other.

Long and skinny light like that would cover a 2 x 5, maybe, but not 5 x 5. 1000 umole at 8" isn't much. 260w won't replace a 1000w HID.

ok ...........maybe this will help

this change over from HID to LED will allow me to go hydro (the water chiller will be more effective) allowing me to lower the cost of making the plants and reduce the price on what i need to make back to break even along with increase the over all amount of the intake

all ending with me giving a few grand a month to a school i know of so they can buy supplies along with other things to make the kiddies happy / enjoy school (they know where it comes from but they do not care becuase they need it ........i been given a few hundernt when i hvae it to spare but this will allow me to set up something more permit)

if i am blowing 2 grand on 1 light .........it got to cover the whole thing just becuase i refuse to spend more then that

at this point i have found 3 sets i can live with (i grow autos )
http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GL80X5LED-Spectrum-Growing/dp/B00KC6LT5C

the 400 watt are a 2.5x2.5 .......or the 700w are 3x3 with little overlap..............4 on a dice set up

http://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Platinum-Series-11-band-Grow/dp/B00BW4BOZI/

can do 2 of those ........massive over kill

http://www.amazon.com/G8LED-Optimal-8-Band-Infrared-Ultraviolet/dp/B008ANH8O0/
and
http://www.amazon.com/G8LED-Watt-Flowering-BOOST-Light/dp/B005ZTJ980

the one in the center and 2 or maybe 4 for the edges

they are all have good and bad points ...........i am auto flowering so a full spec the whole way is nice the red boosters are just fillers lights for the edge
given they are all 50000 hours this buy gets going i can re do the system a 5th time once i got a larger space and larger funds
