No one is getting ripped off when buying Apaches. I have 2 AT panels and wouldn't have bought the second if I was getting ripped off. And what is this spectrum you say is better and what makes it better?

Spend two hours and connect a couple wires and build the same light for 1/3 the price.
I love how people talk shit when they don't know the entire story.
currently I'm working on putting a light into the market place with fans that come on at certain temps with a extremely well put together spectrum better then at and some 730nm on its own timer that comes on when the others shut off and stays on for 10min.
the 1000watt model will be around $1600 and that's actual output using all cree, bridge lux cobs and leds.
so if you spent 4k on 1200 watts if it's even that much then yes in my book that is a rip off.
I'm sorry though I don't have more time to argue about lights I have a lt5 in the process of being rebuilt and a 75k vacuum chamber that a hospital just put a order in for.

It simple terms it's a giant tube that creates negative pressure (vacuum) and holds it there then a solenoid opens a valve to allow which gas they want inside and they use this for testing surgical equipment.
We build pretty much the same thing for the manufacturing of surgical utensils. They use the negative pressure and different gas to sterling and meet QC specs.
If you look up
key high vacuum. That company is a direct copy of mine and we build the same stuff and are always fighting for bids, but since we have been so busy and they have a new owner we are kind of merging. Sending work to us that they can't handle (water jet, edm, 5 axis cncs) since they don't have that equipment and we send overflow piece work to them.

You are going to have all the other costs anyway
but even if it took 2-3 more grows, which it should not in a 3 x 3 tent, you still have years of high quality trouble free energy efficient light
Yeah, I gave you that, I did say the 2nd and 3rd grow you would be good but you arent going to be profitable on the first grow with a $1000 light and 250 grams.

Not sure what you don't understand... if it hits better for chlorophyll a, b (putting it way simpler then it is) it is a better spectrum between that and a higher par ouput along with a full even range not just spikes in 10-20nm I believe it's a better light.
To sit there and type my opinion is not correct, actually to me it is what you said directly contradicts what you say too.

put a two men side by side. One makes 250k a year the other 25k per year. You ask them if buying a car for 65k is a good deal... no matter what it is the 25k man is going to say no because he is using what is relevant to him and vs versu.
Same thing with this if you like paying 2x3 as much as you can build the same thing or get it somewhere else that's fine but i don't and by this it makes me wrong?

Wold love to see someone actually source and copy an AT part for part. 480 nichia's...good luck. Then you will see why the price is high. Could a similar light be designed and DIY'ed for cheaper...ya...but not really that much cheaper in the grand scheme...and then if you were to think about a business mark up and over head...all of a sudden your looking at AT price tags. Is what it is but it's still the top light out right now.

Dude, you still haven't answered my question. I asked you what your spectrum is. Perhaps I should be more specific...
What color temp COBs will your lights have and how many of each? What other nm of diodes will be included in this spectrum? Can you prove your spectrum is "better?" What are the PAR values?
Income has nothing to do with something being a good deal or not. An individual with a low income should still be able to identify if something is a good deal or not, regardless of price. Just because you can't afford something doesn't mean it's not a good deal. It has to do with common sense and logic, not income.

Ps....make sure to scrape off the 24k diamond TIM from those cobs and put some pk3 on. And as a side note..the 7k diamond has lower thermal performance in all the tests so it's NOT the same product as the 24k
