Fat Purple #2 grow

Well it's been a while since I did any uploading of my grows. I decided to finally do a full out Fat Purple grow so I popped two seeds, one is going fine the other is straggling a little but otherwise ok. Both started off with the lettuce look but are fine now. Hoping to veg them a long time and get a good amount, I'm also growing other stuff but we'll be focusing on FP

Right now the FP is in the one gallon pots, one seedling and one teen. The others are Punky Lion, OG Kush, Critical Jack Herer and an unknown strain.

Ps. As always, thanks Fat Marty, Glad and Belle for making this strain happen and freely giving it away. You guys are a great example of kindness which the MJ community needs.

I was looking at CC, I was trying to see if you had some fimming going on there. Have you found that to be a successful technique for you?

Yes, very. I tried LST'ing a while ago and found fimming and topping to work much faster. It seems that when branches are broken something in the plant goes into to overdrive to fix, repair and grow harder. I'm sure it has something to with Auxins or whatever else is running through the stalk.

Well, a Fat Purple grow #2 thread was already done but I couldn't participate in that grow due to me helping a friend fresh out of prison who needed a place to live. I was in on the first grow thanks to Belle who brought me beans made by Fat Marty so I thought I'd start my own thread for Fat Purple. On the first grow I got 6 beans and out of the 6 I got a male and female so I bred them to make more beans. This grow is the second gen beans.

Gotcha. Any idea what Marty used to make the fat purple?

Fat Purple (per Hazeman Seeds)
This is a mystery strain. As I only know the father of this strain, as the mother come from a seed from shake. My buddy grew and called it Fat Marty. So in the making of this plant we took a Purple Rhino X G-13 male and hit that to the unknown Fat Marty female. I have been working to get a great purple strain that has both a purple bud and a strong high. And after a long time of different crosses of purple strains I think we have got it. This was 6 years in the making. This is also a 8 to 10 week plant. Put her under the light for the best out come. You don’t need to have lower temps to get the purple. She is a medium to tall plant. I think this is a winner for the purple strain lovers.

Haha thats my video, I can't remember the email I used for that account! That was bud from the first grow. but yea I tried several times to get all the info on the strains used but one of them was an unknown as Marty stated in the original Fat Purple thread that used to be stickied but now is buried somewhere here.

I ran some of the original Fat Purple beans as well. I kept a few nice females and sent them out to flower. The runners were impressed, but never submitted samples and/or cuts back :(

I still have a few "Fat Cheese" F1s (Cheese #1 x Fat Marty) beans here left to run. If I recall correctly C&T was very impressed with his run back in 2012 :bigjoint:

I have a lot of each strain. We can rock n roll anytime. The #2 thread wasn't done though. It
got deleted and we all got sent to bed early with no dinner. It must have been around the time
they wanted most of the people gone from the michigan forum.
...not sure if it's safe yet.
I'd love to get back to doing some online grows.

Updates tonight when I gets home from work. Of the two Fat purples one is a male and has had a slew of problems so it's getting chopped. The other is still in veg and was the runt but is doing very well now. Pics and stuff later on tonight

I still have some Fat Purple seeds around here as well, maybe this thread will inspire me to pop them...
IT BETTER!

well I took some pics of what I think may be another male :( The one about this strain is it shows it's sex very early!

Took some pics of my OG Kush and Critical Jack Herer that are almost done. I'll take final pics out in normal light before chopping. It's going to be one to two weeks.

I topped the Fat Purple and when it's rooted I'll toss in 12/12 and see what I get.

Finished the OG Kush after a 12 day drying and trimmed it all today. Trimming dry was actually easier and the results are ten times better.
