Ah, there we go. Yeah fan up. Heat rises and cold drops. Plants look OK. Tough to see but maybe some tips look deficient (skinny/yellowish)? They could just be a little hungry. I would still get a solid soil mix set up and transplant into that. Maybe get a supersoil recipe and build something from it.

why would you tell someone new to go buy the most expensive nutes on the market first run. Then give more bad advice by saying a premium soil like ocean forest is crud thousands of new growers are successful with it daily. Why do you think most hydro stores order 2 pallets at a time.
my hydro store wont stock that soil or will they stock fox fam nutes as they have been in the hydro buiness for about 15 years only nutes i use and trust are 3 thats h/g and btw u think that is expensive ur off ya tree at 25 dollers for a and b canna and dutch master a person told me once u buy cheap u grow cheap so that my 2 cents

Check it buddy.

You can rock some promix its like a dirt/perlite mix that works pretty well and you would prolly have to water every 1-3 days with some nutes.
If you go coco get ready for everyday watering to RUNOFF (so please have a drain setup)
I recommend you get some pro mix for when you transplant. It was the first thing I grew in, cheap and very forgiving.

Hope this helps :)

promix #4 is good stuff, and can be cut with coco coir or perlite for better aeration and drainage. i go 30-50% on perlite if i have the luxury, but they'll grow regardless. i recommend you paint the 2x4's white, along with anything that isn't reflective. looking good so far! :)

I hope the person telling you that your buying cheap wasnt the hydro shop guy trying to sell you overpriced nutes. I think its grower application not how much you pay for your nutes. The proof is in the puddin !!!

I dont grow in soil bud i run full hydro. Soil is for begginers and if you think the price of your nutes makes you get bigger yields you should do some more research. As long as im getting a P per light and plus with the cheapest nutes on the market why would i spend more ? The nute game is a business and bussinesses like your money and you my friend bought into thier game. One day youll figure it out bud...

Thanks Cat!

I think i need to get a different wall material anyways...I was looking for the white visqueen, the only thing i could find was this plastic sheeting. My buddy told me that it may be obsorbbing light, not reflecting. He said he has an abundance of it and that he could spare me some. Its mylar.

Also, i have this "Kilz latex" mold-resistant primer, that won't cut it will it, for the 2x4's?

Im doing all soil, no hydro. Don't have the money for it.

Im a souther'n boy with a green thumb and have always wanted to grow buds. I have a few buddies that grow and help people get started but i live way up in the mountains now and its not that convenient for my friends to get up here often. Which is why i joined this site.

My garden is going great, I grow all the ingredients to make salsa aka pico de gallo. I know that this is not the same as gardening vegetables, but NOW that I can (in Washington) I want to! :)

This is a little background on me for you folks, again i really appreciate all of the suggestions and help. Please keep it coming. I think i will go buy some soil and ingredients to make this new soil mix. So i can re-pot these babies.

Talk to yall in a little bit. I'll post some pic's after i apply some of the suggestions.
