How do you get earwigs out of the bottom of the pots? When I transplanted one a bunch came out the bottom. I was reading that they eat dead plant materials but on another thread someone said they eat the roots. Maybe some Sevin on the ground under the pots?

Diatomaceous earth will work. Spread it underneath and around your pots. Most pests hate the stuff.

I've never had aquariums so I don't know. I know cactus growers use it. I found some granulated (as opposed to powered) DE on eBay. I like the granulated because it doesn't turn into paste when it gets wet and you don't have to keep reapplying it. Try googling it- lots of info out there.

Never heard they eat roots just decomposing leaf matter, easy safe way is just fill up some shallow tins like empty tuna tins or anything like that and fill with vegetable oil it will attract them and they will drown in it

Thanks...I think I'll try all of the above, neem oil, DE and canola oil. I read where they like beer, too, I have an unopened 4 year old beer....lol.

Yes it will, but see D-Earth as millions of tiny razor blades, inhaled into your lungs in months to come, and with each breath ripping the hell out of your lungs, within a year living in an iron lung ...if you are lucky,... I know what option I'd take, and not the latter either, stick to the Neem its organic too!

OK, so it is 1 tsp Neem to a gallon of my well water for each plant. Once a week til harvest? I'll water and feed in between and the day I use the Neem would you water first then Neem? I do remember from my fish aquariums that I needed a face mask when working w/DE. I quit using mg when the guy at my dispensary told me weed grown in mg gives off a chemical harmful to our lungs....of course, he may have been trying to sell me their growing products.... veg.

Understand Neem is Highly SYSTEMIC, that means when you add a teaspoon to a pint hand sprayer and fill with warm water and shake, then spray the leaves that it will be absorbed ONTO and INTO the plant, unless you spray the buds 10 times a day and in the last week of harvest ...you won't notice the taste.

A good practice too is to add a teaspoon to your watering can, and water it to your plants one time per week, for removing all hassles including bugs and molds, in time genetic engineers will stamp aza-dick-tone(the neem chemical) into the cannabis gene code

I am going to use it as a soil drench, only. All of my plants are excelling beyond my expectations only I noticed a bunch of those creepy crawlies when I transplanted P. Urkel and they scurried out of the water holes..eek I thought they only ate dead plant material but someone posted that they eat the roots and that was when I got bugged, sorry, and decided to try and eradicate them.

neem causes cannabis hypermesis. i would never use neem on my plants, its the azadachtirin that causes it. its not meant to be used on smokable crops

The cocksuckers eat leaf as well.
I have a pheno with odd overlapping leaf fingers. They hide in between and chew the shit out of them.

Only see one once in a while in which case I smoosh him.

since Jun 8, 2014. I've found earwigs to be very good fro any Gardner and his plants sure they may eat the odd leaf

but they are mostly meat eaters...and go for anything moving ..ants aphids even my cat ...lol

really good for spiders in a hot climate
