Everyone's always saying how they want rock hard buds but honestly, your sacrificing potency for look... Gram per gram, more airy strains are FAR more potent than any rock hard buds around. Your buds look great! I wouldn't change a thing in your growing process to be honest other than maybe keep your temps more stable. People who grow for density are growing for bag appeal, not potency. If you really want denser buds though get your hands on some girl scout cookies! Densest strain I've grown with great bag appeal but again, lost some potency gram per gram.

I wish more people would realize that hard buds do not mean good buds. What buds have you grown that get mold? Them hard ones usually.

growing for potency is a lost art form best I can tell? It is a shame, but I have been trying to teach it to a few folks before I die. I live in Colorado and none of the new legal shit gets me high, well maybe it would if I smoked a lot of it but I'm used to a hit or 2 doin me. I have folks share buds all the time and all I can ever say is glad I didn't pay for it.

Today's breeders have bred pot for more THC which has altered the complexity of the high, basically they have bred that old school high out of today's weed, it's a shame really.

I've spent the last 5 years breedin it back into my gear and hopefully others are doing it as well

Could not agree more. They say our old pot was 5-7 % THC. Well you would never know it.The stuff we have today does not smell like pot. I am fortunate. I keep old strains alive. Make new seeds every few years so as not to loose them.

that UVB is very important for potency?

that sulfur is the key to more potent resin?

and on top of that very few actually understand the final cure (fermentation) process. How do I know this? because for it to work properly requires N and most stop feeding N at the end

The only reason you get rock hard buds from commercial growers is because the buds have been compressed via travel..... cannabis grows pretty tight under the right conditions, but never as dense as some chronic that's been super pressed and over-dried. You can press your buds if you want but I'm sticking with my "Indian Weed" cause it's real plant power.

Funny you mentioned sulfur. I have seen Mexican grows and they used sulfur as a pest control. I sill seem to do better with HID lights but have grown real good with H.O.T5

If Fluros yield better than HID because of UVB, than LED is champion. ---- I'm sticking with my HIDs (I use fluros for veg)

Mr. Hog. How big is room and who many watts you burning? Plants look happy. I use a 8 tube on top and a 4 tube on 2 sides. I have knocked out some nice size. I seem to find that if I run HID it is faster to finish and on H.O.T5 it is a bit slower to finish. I get a better yield on HID. I did a 3 way side by side grow with HID T5 and LED. It was interesting.

No journal. I very seldom take pics. I do like T5 growing allot. But like you it takes 800 to a 1000 watts of light to get it real good. With Photos I have got a little under 4 pounds with 5 plants. But I do use the side lighting. I have very few berries most grow to a keeper bud.Yours look really good. I just do not like T5's light penetration vs HID. I also have started several LED grows but I can not get comfortable with the light they put out. It seems like it just does not work. One day when I have a over abundance of meds I will grow one all the way with them.

Yeah I have never grown under fluorescent lights. I have a 1000w hps I grow under. Never new that the looser stuff can be stronger. I just see the street stuff and it looks and smells good as shit. By guests I mean my buddy's that come by to hang out.

Well aside from rock hard buds maybe I should of asked for a strain that will knock your socks off instead. Not so much bud density but a strain that will make you think you've never smoked before. If thats possible. I just want to have the baddest shit.
