I make more than minimum wage

Understanding science has no bearing on financial success in a society that doesn't value science; George Bush was president of the United States for fucks sake

Did you enjoy watching this Heritage Foundation fucktard stumble over his talking points and Nye put him in his fucking place on live TV?
You've already stated you hope to, one day, make $900.00 a month. So you don't make minimum wage or you don't work full time.

Can we stop blaming global climate change as the instigator of all the bad weather that happens. Its almost as if people want you to believe that every day will be 75F and sunny, EVERY FUCKING DAY if it weren't for humans making the globe so much hotter.
We had tornadoes and hurricanes before any global warming started happening. If you hear about bad weather more often its because the media reports on it so often to try and link it to GCC.

The frequency of extreme weather has increased due to climate change compared to earlier records

We have pretty good records pretty much for the entire 20th century

Which is barely a blink in time.

The earth has seen much more extreme weather in it's past. Even before humans were around.

There used to be dinosaurs everywhere. Shit changes. People need to accept it.

Bill Nye's credentials are as a PBS science talk show host, how does that make him any different than one who works for Jesus?

The only problem is that the biology of our crops are fine tuned to the climate that we have had since farming began in Mesopotamia. People will go hungry and go to war because of this.

This is what people don't seem to get. Our survival, not just enjoyment, is directly tied to plants. Everything we eat: plants. Hog eats feed (plants) we eat it. Total dependence.
Weather change = bad for plant= bad for us
I've already seen oil wars. Now i'm waiting to see food wars.
There are only so many bread/rice baskets on this planet. Wait till they start to fail. The Punjab could be first (water table is low and increasingly saline).
Believe me. You don't want to see this happen. They project famine levels as high as 200 million in India if this happens.
If we're complaining now about the loss of middle-class jobs and a drop in living standards just wait: the next 30-50 years will blow your mind.

So 100+ years is "just a blink in time", huh?

"The Earth has seen much more extreme weather in it's past" has it?

...

So if we only have a measly 100+-ish years in recorded climate data, how do you know "the Earth has seen much more extreme weather in it's past"?

Hmmmmm...

He's got an engineering degree from Cornell, you're a climate change, vaccine denying idiot

The ability to procreate should rely on scientific knowledge because of idiots like you

100 million years to go into the earth, out and burned in 1000 years. the equation balances.

stop worrying, you guys. corn growers will just pick up their farms and move tonorth dakota instead of iowa. wheat growers in noprth dakota will just relocate to manitoba. farmers that once depended on runoff of snow melt will just get water elsewhere. rice farmers will find new farms once their water dries up (watch out motherfucking california) and just pack up to go elsewhere as the climate changes.

there is absolutely nothing to worry about if we take out millions of years of accumulated oils and launch them into our atmosphere over a relatively much, much shorter time frame.

Is Mr. Nye developing some sort of equipment for the climate change cause? What are the credentials of the guy who hired Mr. Nye and the reasoning behind what Mr. Nye's expertise? Because unless I'm missing something, Mr. Nye is the hired help only capable of doing what they're told.

Jean Claude Van Damme could've been a legitimate martial arts champion, rather than an actor. But he sold out. That doesn't mean he doesn't have talent, but I doubt he'd pick going back to tournaments, even if it paid the same. Bill Nye could probably go out and work for any climate research organization and help build test equipment, or whatever. Just like JCVD can do all the moves, and therefore has the knowledge to train the theory you need to be a champion, but the actual work to be a champion is on whomever hired JCVD. Just like the actual work for climate change proof would be on whomever hired Bill Nye. So that makes Bill Nye no more an expert than JCVD, for the subject at hand. But that doesn't mean both can't be knowledgeable in their field.
