if I find something really special I use strategic light leaking to force the plant to hermie...this can be done on a single cola. I've got hundreds of grapefruit ice fem sitting in my fridge.I long for the days where we can just send each other seeds in the mail, where breading seeds would become as open source as Linux.

Claiming your one of most knowledgeable on hash oil, pharmacology and chemistry is a joke to me.

really? I take it you haven't read many of my posts, even the mods will tell you me cannabineer and mrduck are who you want to talk to regarding different topics.
I have a pharm. d, and have actually helped develop many of the upcoming synthetic preparations

Yea I've been growing indoor for a year and a half. so what? outdoor doesn't count now

I figured that was a bit harsh so i edit it out but is a joke to me. I personally hate qwizo oil...Outdoor doesnt count for much to me compared to indoor. As i said im not trying to bust your balls but your a noobie in the indoor realm so your advise means very little to me as it should to others when it comes to indoor seed making.

fair enough. I am fairly inexperienced indoor, though seed is seed in my mind

imo iso makes the best single solvent extract

So I was just looking over my strain list, and over the past 6 months alone I have germinated the following packs .....

-Gage Green, Grape Puff. 2 failed to germ, and got 2 females from the remaining 8. They both looked nice, lots of frost, but that's it. All show, and a shemale ta boot. Culled from the garden

- Bodhi, Dream Lotus. 2 females, both nice, 1 keeper that I will keep for a while. Nothing earth shattering, but a nice smoke none the less

- Swami, Zazen. 4 females. Short bushy plants. Very leafy, VERY frosty .... but the smoke is nothing to write home about. Culled from the garden

- Reserva Privada, Silver LA. Junk

-Serious Seeds, Chronic. Junk

- Dynasty Seeds, Ms Universe. TBD......

So, $600-$700 spent, 6 months of time, and one plant that I will keep around for a minute. I then popped 5 Grape Stomper x Exodus Cheese that I got for free from Fat Marty (RIU member) and ended up with 2 females, both of which were great! Here's the one I'm keeping ....

Wonderful grape soda/berry smell, generous yield, and a high that kicks you right in the nuts! How does a handfull of seeds made in some guys basement outperform hundreds of dollars in seeds from "professional" breeders?

that shit looks dank, he must know what hes doing, that cross sounds badass whats he or u calling it grape chesse
He calls it "Grape Fat Cheese". I've been referring to it as Fat Marty as cudos to the man that made them.

I feel ya! My experiences with people making their own seeds is limited, but from what I've grown and smoked they have been great! It's really making me question giving my money to someone when I can do it myself.

so wait, you grow 7ft multi topped trees indoors?
why?
and how do you light it
I would hate that
Plant numbers count where im at. I prefer big trees with as many full tops as possible. I trim all larf branches off so I get full thick buds. I use 1000hps's over them. Why grow 3x more plants when I can yield more with less plants with bigger thicker buds plus as I said plant # means alot around my parts. Im perpetual 1 tree a week so i can always have something going in and coming out.

I don't want to shit all over breeders, or make this sound easier than what it is. I know that a lot of time in selection has to be spent .....but I even question this. If a breeder were truly locking down traits in a line, and really working things they wouldn't have a menu of dozens of strains and new ones popping up every second week. And let's face it, these guys have no special talent. A talent is something you're born with. This isn't rocket science. If someone is a pitcher in the major leauges, that person has talent. Something maybe 1 in a million people might have the ability to do. What breeders have is skill. A skill is something that most anyone can acquire with enough research and practice. People that lay brick for a living aren't talented, they have just honed their skill.

very true, when i first started growing i would always get a couple of seeds from random hermi sacs and even these seeds werent bad so if ur working with good kickass gentics i think u cant go wrong, but there are some breeder with mad skillz, but shit with money space and good gentics i think anybody could do it
