I've been reding mello136's thread tonight- seems like he's using the same light as me, and now that he's starting to use nutes his plans look really good.

i fed mine last night and they looked a lot better when I looked at them this afternoon. I'm trying not to overwater so I won't water again until Wednesday I think, unless they seem to want it. Then I'll fed with nutes again on Friday or Saturday, upping the dosage slightly.

i bubbled air into the gallon of water/nutes yesterday before I watered for a few hours but it made me wonder how your aerating your soil.... Are you just running tubes from your air pump with holes burnt into them so air just keeps getting pumped into the soil? I guess it makes sense actually, but do you notice it helping? Because if I'm already using the airstone in my gallon jug with the air pump adding air to it before I water or feed, why don't I just shove the damn air stone into my soil and pump air right into my soil?

Hey what's up ya'll, greetings from Tejas. Here's some new pics for everyone.

I got tired of wondering what the hell was going on with these things and why they were taking forever to grow so I actually mixed up new soil at a 50/50 ratio of vortex soil (the original soil I used) and perlite. I carefully replanted them in the same pots they were in with the new soil/ perlite mix. The soil at the bottom of the pots was just saturated and heavy as hell and the roots had seemed to hit the wall of muddy soil or something and had seemingly stopped growing. Terrible drainage. Classic new grower mistake I guess, I must have over watered or just had shitty drainage.

So I mixed the perlite into new soil, added the air tubing and air pump to add some more air to the root system, and have seen some decent growth in the last week. M wondering if when I water I should be watering differently- all I do now is add about 20oz of water or nutes/water to them. I see a little come out the bottom, but it's probably about a T or so at most.

i obviously know these plants have taken forever and look like they're a week old, but it's my first time and I'm really in no major rush.

I have only been watering when the soil seems to need it, which is extremely infrequently, maybe 2x per week, and one of those waterings is a feed when I use 1/2 strength FF big bloom and grow big.

One is bigger and growing better than the other, as you can see the little gal has the tips of her leaves on the under leaves curled down. Is this a mute deficiency maybe? The other one seems to be growing fine though I think.

As always, thanks for everyone's input, even if it is to say I suck donkey balls.

Bush if you soil gets dry and yo pump all that air into them it will dry rot the roots. you have to have wet soil at all times for air injection. you can and most likey will kill them if you dont water 2 times maybe 3 times a day. the bottom of my pots have airtube with holes then lava rock and then water is to top of lava rocks. then cotten matte then soil. they cannot go dry. or you can do this water it turn the pump on let it stay on for a few hrs then turn off or unplug it. i repeat you cannot keep pumping air into it unless you want dry rot on your roots.

Oh good thing you said that. I stopped the air pump. They both look good now still though, so I think all is good. Thanks, man.

you are welcome. do this. slowly water them with say 1 cup water/feed each after it soaks down into soil plug/turn on air pump. then keep adding 1/2 cup to each then repeat every 5 min or so till you get good run off. then let pump stay on for 1 hr max then turn it off again. that will help your ladies allot. who knows you might have invented a new way with my help. i can say this they will really grow. also i wouldn't let them completely dry out. water when they are like 70% dry. i bet 2 times a week and they will grow faster than not using the air. my guess is 25- 50% faster. here is how to build what i have.

Alright here's an update everyone. Everything looks to be going smoothly. I've been feeding 1/2 strength ph'd nutes every other watering of FF trio with the addition of a T of molasses.

When I water or feed, I actually have been oxygenizing the ph'd (6.5) tap water with an air pump/ airstone for about 30 minutes prior to, and then oxygenizing the soil for about an hour during and after.

I noticed a small blemish/burn mark on one of the fan leaves the other day, but I really think it's just a water droplet that sat on the leaf and burned it like a magnifying glass. If you think it's worrisome I'll tend to it.

My xgs 190 is set to 130w and is currently at 26" above the leaves.

I bought some calmag and will introduce a very small amount in a week.

You can see I have been LSTing as well. I have pulled them over with pipe cleaners and both have been doing fine. They've been bent over for 4 days now- should I untie them or tie something else down? Not sure the next step honestly.

Ok, here's the pics:

Your plants exploded in the last couple weeks! looking good man! Just started my first grow with the same light man. subbed!
Hey Victor, thanks for joining the grow!

Yeah, they really took a LONG time to fill in their roots in the bigger pots so next grow I'll seriously have to do my research on when's the best time to transplant them from solo cups to the next size pots, or if going from solo to a much larger pot is a good or bad idea.

Like I read in a few other threads, I was misting them here and there, and that I realize now is a dumb move, so don't do that indoors. Only burns the leaves.

But they're going steady now and I'm getting ready to flip to 12/12 in maybe a week or two because of space limitations.

Anyway, thanks, bro, good to have you on board. Let me know if you need anything, I can try to help.

Here's some more pics. They're definitely sativas, long and stringy. The scrog should help em fill the space though. Sorry I haven't been updating much ya'll- I've been putting in a new floor in my house and spending a lot of time with my aquarium and outdoor gardens as the weather is nicer now. Oh, not to mention my increasing addiction to spinning and collecting vinyl records.

All is good though- heare's a few pics of these sluts:

Thanks for checking out the thread ya'll.

Looking incredible man! I'm so anxious haha. How much LST did you do? Like how many times did you need to tie it down?

I definitely learned a lot by lst-ing them. They're both 100% sativa, so they aren't normally very bushy, they just are lanky as hell.
As soon as they were about 8 inches tall I started taking whatever branches were long enough and just pulling them down with the pipe cleaners. I would leave it for about a week and then unhook them and let them straighten out again. Once they were straight again I pulled them another way for about a week. I really just did it until the nodes along the sides of the stalk started popping out a lot of new growth. Next grow I will I will lst much more intensely and maybe veg longer, as well as grow a strain which has some indica in it, so they get a little bushier. I'll post a few more pics in a bit- they're flowering quickly and have buds on them now.

What's with them negative waves!?

Those plants look healthy and happy, and unless something whacky happens during the flower, which I doubt, you'll get plenty of bud.

Haha you're probably right. I'll post a few more pics later today if I have a chance after work. They're doing pretty good still- covered in white hairy buds.
