I am beginning 5 weeks, light issues been taken care of, running my MH for a couple of days, HTG is shipping me a replacement free of charge, they are the greatest!

I fixed the heat issues temperaroly. they wont be over 85 guarenteed, still gonna get some more going on though, prly a bathroom extractor fan, and another small fan... Plus the one i have, hopefully thats enough air moving around.

Good so far, getting nervous now though, gotta be on my A game to avoid those hermies and whatever other snags wanna come at me!

no doubt- I will definitley try that, move em all out of the room where its dark, and let the flash fill it in, sounds good- definitley need to do something different to be on the A list of bud porn- we will see if that works.

kenobi im lovin the bud pics .... hopefully my crop looks sumthing like that ... why cant there be more trusted growers and less people who spray there weed with sand and grit .... i aint had a smoke in a while because of it :(

def watch the heat my room went up to 90 something and herm'd one of my plants but my girl was able to do a little sex part removing haha so its all good.

I know it was said before but co2 does help out with the stress the plant takes esp heat. Can always do the yeast and sugar method or save a few more bucks and find a deal on Co2 Boost or Ecoboost makes a HUGE difference
my current grow im finally using a better source of co2 and the plants look totally differ then my last grow larger leafs healthier green I dont think ill do without again.

that and never grow in the summer again lol damn heat man screwing it all up for me

yeah my temps are only high on the hottest days, and the expensiveness of C02 scares me, someday for sure. Until then yeast and sugar may work- or i can figure something else out... idk

but no signs of hermies yet- keeping a very close eye though- thanks.

And sand and dirt? I have heard of using fruit peels for smell and even food coloring, but sand and grit? Please explain for me and DB

Hey OB hows it going? Genie and Charlie are both girls. :bigjoint: time to get the scissors out and take some cuttings. I fitted a fan in one of my rooms. It is a cooker-hood but has got a kick-ass fan on it.

whoa - just finished reading all of your journal! done really well for your first grow dude, those ladies are looking mighty fine.

so your soil was a bit dense - what soil did you actually use?

about the temperature - think i read somewhere about putting some wet towels in the room? i might just be confused - read so much it's not registering!

I was really afraid this would happen, dreading it actually- and i foresaw it... I really did- knew my temps were too high, and then that whole bulb burnout thing leaving one day with an extra 5 hours or more darkness... Kinda rough.

Only 2 hermied all in all- but they were some of my favorite, and blossiming bud porn stars.

I did not slaughter them, it wasnt too late- I got them very early, and I am continuning to prune through them 3 times a day or more. They are none left. I have been very carefully cutting them off and disposing without disrupting. I hope, I really hope- these two girls dont infect the rest of the ladies. As they are doing quite well...

I have gone out and purchased a extractor type fan, lowerd temps to 76 high! Much better.

Hothouse and c02 proponents: I will be working to make that happen when I switch to strain, after my next harvest of clones.


Ok So its Pic time, and I took some good ones, Lights off! Works 100% better, give DB rep for those!

But pay close attention because I got some shots of the hermies- good shots. Let me know if they were too late to be removed with good sucess. And for those who havent seen a hermie, like I hadnt quite seen one, here they are in all there shame.

Pics 1,2 are of holly and helga, former stars now hermies.
Pics 3-9 are of the heathy crop growing at the beginning of week 5 in those shots.
Pic 10 is a shot of the cloning set up, 16 clones in the hotbox, the heated pad seems to be doing wonders to keep it humid.
Pic 11 is a upclose of the hermy... a critical shot if you havent seen one, and for those who have battled, should i have removed and again what are my chances for sucess.

Any other comments or concerns would be great, you guys are my Research and Development team, lots of help.

Aw,man,sorry to hear about the hermies...the ladies are looking awesome...glad to hear you got more cooling going on,that was one of the first things I did....My temps run from 66 at night to 76 in the day,and so far no hermies...I did add 2 43 watt cfls for side light like you mentioned...it does seem to help thicken them up....good looking grow bro

Sorry about you two girls turning on you.
That's women for you, you have to keep an eye on 'em at all times lol.

Thanks for showing the pics. Are those balls growing on the top of the bud? I thought they just grew where the nodes come off the stem. Thanks for the heads-up on that one.
I hope the rest of them are OK. Well done with getting your temps down. Thats my next job, although my vegging room is now averaging 76 since i moved it.
